  • The good and bad of this season.
Fullerton Fan, I am certain that the Ags are fully funded, 11.7. Not sure if you're guessing.
  • Roster is up
Good to see the roster up. It does show well that some young recruits were about to overtake some of the seniors, but I imagine that is a tough decision to make by the coaches, not to mention tough to swallow for the seniors. But competing at the highest level is what we want from the Aggies, so it will only make them stronger. Good luck this weekend.
  • No baseball news
I am interested in seeing the 2019 roster. Practically all other schools have been posted, so not understanding the delay. Hoping for a great season from the Ags!
  • How well would UCD baseball do in the WAC ?
I personally feel that the Aggies would be substantially more competitive in the WAC. The So Cal programs are stronger because of their recruiting base. The WAC schools have no foothold in So Cal, which would even the playing field. I would guess perennially upper half of WAC, with a WAC championship in the last 5 years.

Overly optimistic? Perhaps, but I would argue this all day.
  • 2019 record ?
Thank you GoAgs for the excellent synopsis. I think 20 wins is a solid and realistic goal, and a move in right direction. This team has a very young core, which bodes well for years to come. I would venture to say that +5 wins in the 2020 season is also very realistic. Going from 18 wins to 25 wins within two years is the momentum the Ags need to continue to compete in the BW.
  • Recruits for 2020 season
It's interesting that the Aggies primarily recruit players from Northern Ca rather than So Cal. There is a large talent pool down here. LBSU, CSFU, and UCI, Ca Poly and the rest of the Big West recruit primarily in the South. No reason in my mind why UCD cannot get these players, given the education and setting.
  • 2019 roster (just a guess)
Thanks for the insight GoAgs! I think we all kind of count on you to be the pulse of Aggie Baseball.

I went to see UC Irvine baseball play yesterday. They will be very deep in pitching, and they have many returning position players. They should be right near the top of the Big West this year.
  • Fall game
I'm so glad to hear that Jalen Smith is playing well. His glove work will really come in handy. I hope the pitching will be a strength, at least keeping us in each game.
  • Fall game
Thank you for the detailed write up GoAgs! It's good to hear about Ouellette, he sounds like closer material. How did the team defense look?
  • 2019 baseball schedule (new updates as of 12/14)
Very happy that my Ags will be in So Cal several times this season. It should be a fun series against Pepperdine, and watching games at Fullerton and UCI are very exciting!
  • Summer baseball
Thank you for your thorough review; much appreciated. Glad to hear that Hannah is pitching so well. I've heard Cooper Morrison , JC transfer, is a good prospect. With returning pitching and bats, along with other Big West programs losing talent, this could be an interesting year for my Aggies.
  • Summer baseball
Where is GoAgs20172 when I need him??
  • Go Aggies!
I hope the Aggies build off of their 2-game win streak against Hawaii. I know UH has a strong offensive team with pitching depth, so Davis will need to play some error-free baseball. Good luck Ags!
  • Go Aggies!
Thanks PortlandAggie! Saw the game yesterday, game #2 of the series. Aggies hit the ball well, just couldn't capitalize. UCR has many large players, almost football player sized. They make you pay for pitches up on the strike zone. I thought it was a well played game. Hoping for a win today!
