He already said he was a bit rattled by the protest he received on his first visit here.

But wait a minute. Isn't a yellow jacket a type of yellow hornet? With some green? Clearly a patent infringement in my book. I hereby request that dr. May in his last official duty at GT to ask the Georgia tech legal staff to challenge sucks right to be a hornet.

Insofar as protests go here, he hasn't seen anything yet. I hope Hexter is by his side when he gets on campus to tell him what to do. This is not going to be anything like GT for dr. May.

You got it. Seems like we are trying to give Berkeley competition. Add in Mellenial snowflakes, Jewish students / middle eastern conflict, antifa, BLM, Trump / anti Trumpism, limited housing and rising costs... rising UC costs... lots going on.

Dr. May seems to be very active.

I know he just started, but how is his fundraising prowess going?

he was at the pregame get-together at Qualcomm, and came across as a straight shooter who is very excited to be at Davis, and excited about the future of athletics. I talked to several folks who were at a smaller gathering earlier in the day, and they all were saying that he is a very approachable guy, who values the role athletics can have in a university. he likes to use the expression that 'athletics are the front porch to a university' -> a way to present a great first impression to those not totally familiar with the school.

I've never felt better about the administrative support we now have for Aggie Athletics with Kevin Blue at helm along with Ralph Hexter and Dr. May in Mrak Hall. I feel like we're in the midst of a paradigm shift for D1 athletics at UCD. Exciting times to be an Aggie fan!

Is Dr. Hexter still at UCD? I tried to find out and the Provost's page wasn't updated or something.

I haven"t heard anything about him leaving UCD so I just assumed he is still here. The basketball team gave him a championship ring a few months ago too.

He is definitely still here. His is active on his twitter account with his title as UCD Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor.
