    After a blowout win over the Academy of Art to open the season, the Aggies now step up in competition as Portland State comes to town in the second game of a double header at 5 pm on Thursday. The Aggie men play the first game at 2:30 pm against Pepperdine.

    The Vikings have made tremendous improvement in the past two years after going 0-20 in the Big Sky Conference in the 2021-22 season and 5-24 overall. They finished 8-10 in the Big Sky in 2022-23 and 15-16 overall. Their leading scorer is 5'5 G Esmeralda Morales who averaged 15.8 ppg last year. PSU leads the all time series 11-5.

    PSU 71 Aggies 62 - Final.

    After trailing 41-20 at the half, the Ags came to life in the second half and cut the lead to 4 with 53 seconds left but a PSU 3 pointer with 24 seconds to go sealed the deal for the Vikings. The Aggies just dug themselves too big a hole in the first half but made a gallant effort.
