• Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I hope you guys can get your offense figured out again, just not this weekend. EWU and NDSU are very very good teams and any given week have the potential to annihilate their opponent. Montana's performances the last couple weeks against Portland State and North Dakota have been surprising to say the least. Weber State is a weird team for me. Their offense is almost non-existent at times, but their defense is killer.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
From what I remember Idaho State was using their backs to get the edge and break away with speed. From what our friends from down south are saying it sounds like they are pounding the middle with FB dive. Interior linemen are going to have to be on point with LBs filling the gaps.

  • 2019 Recruiting List
Hasn't been disclosed as far as I can tell.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
Their loss to Weber was pretty close, but Weber's defense is what keeps them in games. Statistically, outside of 1 RB, Weber's offense is pretty anemic.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
The Massey match up simulator currently is giving the Aggies a 72% chance of winning. I would say that is about right. Davis is the better team this season, but Poly has home field advantage and the emotion of a rivalry game. Davis beat Poly when they shouldn't have in the Gould era, it can definitely reverse now.

Interesting though. While looking through our offers I was looking at Evan Williams twitter and saw that his brother Bennett has been released from the University of Illinois for violating team rules. We recruited Bennett as well and he was fantastic as a freshman for Illinois. I wonder if Hawk would attempt to bring him in as well.
  • Aggie Stadium
I think the original expansion plan was to fill in the grass with seats before starting on a second layer of seats on the sides. That being said, people have really grown to like the grass at the end zones. A temporary situation has become a feature so I don't know if they will fill those in now. There was also discussion a while back about a sizable donation being made towards a new team center.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I respect Cal Poly a whole hell of a lot more than I respect Sac. I had a lot of friends that went to Poly. If there is one thing that I can say about Poly is that I find the triple option incredibly boring.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I hope that Cal Poly can find a new coach. It's good for FCS in California when we're all successful. We know that the triple option isn't dead as Kennesaw State is running it and is one of the top teams in the country. Just got to find the right personnel.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
That's brutal. Well, you never know he could get bought out of his contract even though that seems unlikely for us FCS programs that don't have unlimited funds. I find it hard to believe that he would limit your playbook like he has when you have so many talented runners. Is the QB holding the triple option back?
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I'm a younger guy, but have been watching Davis football for my entire life. Even as a kid I remember Ramses Barden dominating the field. The guy was a freak and a total nightmare to defend against. I understand pessimism on your part though. 2 years ago, Aggie nation was decimated after the Gould era, things can turn around quickly though. Any news on if Walsh is going to be shown the door soon?
  • Week 7: Big Sky
It would be an incredible moment in Aggie history! I'm really hoping that this season gives us a huge boost to recruiting. Hawkins is already improving our talent, but making the playoffs and getting to the 2nd or 3rd round would be huge for this program.
  • Week 7: Big Sky
To be completely honest... I would feel fine about playing either Weber or San Diego.
  • Week 7: Big Sky
Yeah, I just looked it up and Gubrud was out last week. SUU is not a top tier team this season and Weber has one of the best defenses in the conference. Barriere is capable, but no Gubrud. EWU has been fairly balanced this season in terms of offense and Weber completely shut down their run game.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
Here is Cal Poly's thread for this upcoming week's Battle for the Golden Horseshoe. It's the initial post, but optimism is currently not high in SLO.

  • Week 7: Homecoming vs. Idaho State
    - What a game. I can't believe how quickly Hawk has turned our program around, and we're only halfway through his second year. Last night was a huge milestone in our return to relevance and I'm just so excited to see how far this program will continue to ascend. Go Ags!Kerberos

This is something I have been thinking about a lot this season. Think about where the football program and athletics in general were 2 years ago. With Kevin Blue at the helm and bringing in Hawk it is truly amazing how quickly we are turning things around.
  • Week 7: Big Sky
I didn't realize that EWU was playing without Gubrud. From what they are saying on the EWU forum is that he is reportedly out indefinitely with a toe injury. Other people on their forum are saying that he could play again this season in a limited capacity.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
Rivalry games are always a blast and filled with emotion. I thought Cal Poly's win over Sac State was impressive, but then Sac State rolled over again this week end and took a beating from a winless Southern Utah team, so Sac might not be what everyone thought that they were going to be this season. Poly still gave up almost 500 yards of offense to the Hornets and gave up well over 400 to Montana who has also shown to be slipping this season.

My money is on the Aggies, but you never quite know with these rivalry games. GO AGS!
  • Week 7: Big Sky
All scores updated from yesterday. Home teams go 6-0.
