It would definitely be different that is for sure. This offense gets lots of people the ball. On a run it can go to the RB, FB, WR sweeper, or QB on any given play. That's a lot of different people to cover efficiently. Those plays can also turn into passing. Lots of deception, not a lot of teams run an offense like this.

Interesting stuff if this does become our offense. Looks like this scheme has a lot of options for variability. It might be more running than I like, but at least it's not a power game like Gould wanted. This scheme looks like it takes more athletic and skilled players than pure size and strength guys that was necessary for Gould's plan. We'll see... we could have a very fast paced offense next season.

According to footballscoop.com Lawrence (DIII) offensive coordinator, Mark Speckman, will be joining the staff at UC Davis. Doesn't say what position he will have. Lawrence was not very good offensively this last season however... Similarly to the hiring of Coach Tucker, Speckman has ties to Willamette. Apparently he was born without hands and still found success in the football world. Hawkins likes that kind of motivational stuff. He was also one of the main guys involved in the fly offense scheme at the collegiate level, could we be seeing that make it's way to Davis? It's definitely a scheme about deception, which Hawkins noted would be important in his presser.

Exactly. Verbal commitments mean little in the football recruitment world. All bets are off until the kids have signed on the dotted line. This guy has received a handful of offers since his verbal commitment to MSU.

We have another new offer out tonight to OL Sean Hatten. He has already committed to Montana State, however.

To be honest though, I think Laughrea had the skill but his heart and head weren't in football anymore. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember from that situation.

We have another new offer out and our 3rd from our new defensive coordinator's old team. DT Terrell Cloud out of LAVC. For being an interior lineman, his highlights show that he was very effective on the pass rush which we could always use more of.

Where'd you find this? I wouldn't worry about a twitter handle. I have faith this staff can keep these kids on the straight and narrow. Hawk seems like he would be a good influence for the guys.

Not to mention that we already have an emergency QB committed in Tehran Thomas. He committed to play RB at Davis, but he played wildcat QB in HS.

I wouldn't necessarily put NDSU in the final automatically. JMU has been damn scary this season.

EWU picks off Richmond, 5th turnover. EWU defense has been on fire.

EWU scores on the first drive of the 2nd half 28-0. Interesting that it's looking like 3 of 4 quarter final games are going to be blow outs. Still a lot of football to play in this game though.

Halftime in the EWU vs Richmond game. Still 21-0 but Richmond has another fumble in the redzone. Not going to win too many games fumbling 4 times in the first half.

Eastern Washington is killing it right now. In the 2nd quarter they are up 21-0, but the story of the game so far has been their defense. 4 sacks and 3 forced fumbles so far in the 1st half.
