I hate to say it but its time to move on from Caoch Les. He is a good coach, but its time for some new blood. if he couldnt win anything at the FCS level i doubt he will see much success at the FBS level.

Well that's easy to say when most of the roster is brand new. I mean don't make me defend SACST but its going to take a least 4 years. to geet the right FBS bodies in the program to really do anything. NDSU is a multiple national champion that has been building for decades. Not a good comparison. If we ever move to FBS it will be bloody for us too. Just saying.

Eh, we are FCS. We don't have much room to talk, becuase honestly if we played Eastern Michigan we lose to. But I get what your saying!

My take aways from the game is simple. The season will depend on our offensive line. They have to get better.

1. We might have just found a star in TE Khutsuvili.
2. We have to get Bhatu involved more.
3. I'm not sold on Cleeland as ths starter. He overcame a bad first half and that says alot about his character, but if we had been playing a better team it would have been more like 35-0 going into the half. Smart move by Coach not to put Jackson in the game, because had he done so and Jackson ripped off a win, we would all be having a different conversation right now. Let's see how the QB play looks after Montana. My bet is Jackson will eventually win the job.
4. Defensive scheme has to improve. Those small pocket slants were wide open all game.
5. This team has talent and this win was a great way to start the season.

Its the first game in a new divison. I thought they played as expected. The transition to FBS takes years. Give it 4 games then start evaluating the team.

Just like us, we looked awful in the first half against a poor team. It happens. But good teams figure out a way to win and Coach did a great job leading the team to victory. Not to say SACST will be anything, but their kids in the end, and I say just give them some grace.

From one of the worst games to the one of the best! You gotta love football.

Again the team was lacking bodies. There is no strategy when you do not have the bodies to stop the run. The line is much better depth wise. Let’s see how the schemes work now.

The defense was sick that game and the team had limited bodies.
