Last year they announced transfers starting January 16th so hopefully we get some more clarification in the next couple of days if that trend continues

With some great talent leaving/graduating at TE and RB I am not surprised we are looking to replinish some of that talent in the portal but I am wondering with so much talent leaving the safety room as well why there haven't been just as many offers to address that... Perhaps more great young talent expected to step up and immediately play well?

I see where you're coming from. My thing is and I say this without having really watched our younger QBs, would going with one of them deter an older guy on our squad with one year who wants to win now(while also probably being offered a little more than what we can offer money wise) from staying.

The question is do we get an experienced portal QB or go with the young buck because our roster otherwise is win now ready.

This will be my last downer comment of the day then I will let what happens happen. What I will say is that other players leaving Davis may impact/switch decisions of teammates to stay if they believe the team won't be as strong and they can both win and get money somewhere else.

Seeing some of the same, Montana just lost one of their bright young corners, NDSU losing a group of great starters as well. Don't want to speak too soon let's just hope the portal stays quiet on our end of things unless we're bringing in guys.

agreed atleast as the defense goes (assuming we get the Connors bros back) definitely need to keep Cofield and Richardson. From there it would seem nickel, field safety and someone to replace Psych at DE would be the biggest needs whether it be portal or a younger guy stepping up.

Serious hops! Both number 3s had a great game today. It's funny when Jones and Richardson get confused for each other by the announcer at the stadium you can always see one of them reacting in a funny way to it.
