I like his accuracy and his ability throw on the run and improvise. His ball has a nice tight, spiral just like Jake had too. He's pretty slender so I'm glad he didn't get crushed often by those big Tulsa D linemen and LB's. Our O line did a nice job against Tulsa's size and protecting Hunter.

Always the riverboat gambler, Hawkins called for a pass play that would have stopped the clock if incomplete, but Rodriguez was on target for an 8-yard gain to Gilliam and the Aggies took two snaps in the victory formation to secure the win.

“Sometimes you just need to put the ball in your own hands and trust your guys to make plays,” Hawkins said. “You can get too conservative in situations like that and give the other team a chance to win. Hunter had a heck of a game and we knew if nothing was open he would eat the ball and stay in bounds. We really trust him to make the plays.”

Happy flight home!!

Running against their size was like trying to run through a brick wall but Lonzo had 64 yards on 25 rushes and it kept their D honest.

Aggie LB, Cole Hansen, who made that big INT in the second half, wasn't able to play in the first half because he had to sit out the first half due to a targeting penalty from the EWU game last spring.

It was Davis vs Goliath and Davis won again!

It's amazing how well we held up against their size and speed. Rushing yards we're really hard to come by. It also appears we didn't suffer any major injuries. They were so big...that O lineman that pancaked Larison weighs 365 pounds!

Temp was 93 degrees at the start and the Real Feel was over 100 degrees due to the humidity. It's currently 88 degrees with 60% humidity...that still extremely hot!

Tulsa's huge OL is opening up huge holes in our DL.

We looked confused getting set on D on that TD run.

We're right there. Not bad for being a 23.5 point underdog.

It is true the African Americans in the USA have a lower vaccination rate. However, the new guidelines would only negatively affect African American students if they choose not to get vaccinated the same as it would for any student who opts out. The rule is simple for the students: if you are not vaccinated and do not have a medical reason for not getting vaccinated, then you may not be on campus.

I love being an underdog...maybe we'll sneak up on them taking us lightly...
