Plough's name coming up as a possibility for Oregon State Plough is an Aggie through and through. He believes he has had the success he has had because of Sochor and other Aggie greats that have coached him and mentored him. He believes in the values of Aggie Pride and he has stated that he took this job because he believes he can win a national championship here. He is also, above everything else, a family man with 3 young sons and Davis is an ideal community to raise a family.
Money is always an incentive in a job when there is a lack of it and, even if other programs can offer much more, he still makes enough to have a very good life for his family here in Davis. Money isn't the primary factor for staying in a job when there is enough of it; it's all the other things matter more and Davis has all the other things that matter the most to him. I don't see him leaving even if another program offers him several times what UCD can afford.
