• WR Theo Goodwin - Nevada Transfer
That's him. I liked the play where he rolled out left and threw a TD pass. He's a lefty and with the kind of speed he has he could throw the pass if the receiver is open or tuck it in and turn on the jets.
  • MBB Signs 3 New Players
It will be exciting watch him develop at the D1 level. We'll be hard pressed to see a better PG than TJ was though...he was one of the best players we've ever had.

  • WR Theo Goodwin - Nevada Transfer
I think you're right. That would be great. I wonder if Goodwin suffered and injury in the first game since he did not play after that?
  • WR Theo Goodwin - Nevada Transfer
Goodwin is listed as a sophomore according to the Aggie 2019 football roster. He redshirted in 2017 at UNR and played against Portland State in the Wolfpack's 2018 opener. I would guess that he'll have to sit out a year since he did play in 2018.

You have to love this statement in his bio: "Spent some time growing up in Alaska and ran from a bear once, has been fast ever since."
  • Bertsch drafted by the Dallas Wings
That's a surprise. The competition level must be off the charts.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Wow..."bad press" is a understatement. It's obvious that the university is taking these allegations about the "culture and traditions" of the Band-uh very seriously since they are hiring outside counsel to do a thorough investigation. I'm glad the university is looking into all of this and they will need to take appropriate action if warranted when the report is finished. These kinds of "traditions and behaviors" are unacceptable and it needs to be cleaned up and not covered up if the allegations are verified.
  • 2020 Recruiting List
We are certainly making a lot of offers early and quite a few are 3 star rated athletes. I don't put much value in the star ratings but it does indicate that we are recruiting with confidence and are going head to head with programs like the Montanas and Nevada etc.

Aggie recruits, Kennedy Koehler and Wesley Harris, are both on this list:

Former Aggie, Delveion Jackson, has officially transferred and signed with Northwest Nazarene University. NWU is small, private D2 school in Nampa, Idaho, that plays in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. I hope he does well there.

  • Bertsch drafted by the Dallas Wings
I wished it would have worked out for Morgan but I'm not surprised after reading her interview about how things were going. I think it was very tough for her to be playing only as a 3 on the perimeter after playing mostly as a post with her back to the basket here. Her perimeter game really improved in her senior year but her strength was always her quick, inside game utilizing her amazing spin moves. She can still have a great experience playing in Europe and doing very well there and I wouldn't rule out the WNBA completely for her yet.

It's always hard to tell how well the European players will adjust to the speed and physicality of the the American D1 game but Gehrke's sure looks like he has a great fake and stroke and can dish the assist. He reminds me of Josh Ritchart...a big that can stretch the floor for us on offense.

The big question for all of our new players will be, "Can they play defense like Les demands?" We all know that if you can defend well and consistently, you'll see some PT for Les but, if you break down on D, you'll ride the bench.

Here's proof that you don't have to be loaded with blue chip talent to succeed at the highest level of D1 basketball:

    Texas Tech starting 5

    Tariq Owens - 185th in 2014 3⭐️
    Jarrett Culver - 312th in 2017 2⭐️
    Davide Moretti- 132nd in 2017 3⭐️
    Norense Odiase - 358th in 2014 2⭐️
    Matt Mooney- Unranked 0⭐️

...and they came within seconds of a National Championship this year...

The more highlight videos I see of our current recruits, the more I'm impressed. I think Les and his staff have gone out and landed some pretty talented players. It's going to be exciting to see if some of these kids can get some significant minutes as true freshmen.
