• Bertsch drafted by the Dallas Wings
Excerpt from an interview with Morgan:

WHAT HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST ADJUSTMENTS THAT YOU HAVE HAD TO MAKE FROM PLAYING AT UC DAVIS TO THE WNBA?

"They're actually playing me at the '3' which is, obviously, a huge adjustment after playing the '5' for my entire Aggie career. Just spending most of my time out on the perimeter, having to come off ball screens instead of being the one setting it, and on the defensive end, trying to guard people on the perimeter instead of down low, trying to figure out ball screen defense, and trying to figure out how to navigate down screens.

"Then, there's adjusting to the fact that you're playing against some of the best players in the entire world. Some of these women have been at this level for 10 years, they're a lot more comfortable in this situation than I am, they know what to expect, and what that competition level is like. Playing against some of the best in the entire world is a huge opportunity and really cool to say that's something I get to do every day."

"Kenedy is a true center with great size and strength as well as a soft touch around the basket," Gross said. "She is capable of having a major impact on the defensive end of the floor where she has a strong ability to protect the rim. We are impressed with her work ethic and character and believe that those traits will give her limitless potential within our program. Our staff is excited to help her develop her skillset while she earns her degree in biology here at UC Davis."

Hahaha.. The thing that sucks the most to me is how as we get older our spare tire migrates from the trunk of our car to our waists! The only six pack I have now is the one that's always in the frig!
  • I guess I'm not really done. Sorry for the rant.
Goags, I can understand your frustration and disappointment with the lack of fan support for Aggie baseball compared to some of the other Aggie sports. I've always been impressed with your apparent passion for Aggie baseball and your extensive knowledge of Aggie baseball. I hope Aggie baseball will continue to improve like many of our D1 programs are doing under the current administration of Kevin Blue. I think that will happen and, with more success, more fans will show up and support the Ags. Anyway, if you are definitely gone for good, thanks for your knowledgeable contributions here on our forum while you were here.

  • Softball Continues to Roll (25-5) with Win Over Cal
The Ags took 2 out of 3 from Hawai'i for their first ever series win over the Rainbow Wahine. Brooke Yanez (25-7) threw another gem. She had a no-hitter through 5 2/3 and struck out 14 to give her 273 for the season which broke the Aggie record of 272 by Justine Vela in 2012. The Ags finished 39-14 overall and 13-8 in the Big West.

I think the Aggies RPI may be too low to make the post-season so they are a very long shot. This is a relatively young team that could challenge for the BW Title next year. The Ags may want to bump up their out-of-conference competition level next year to increase their overall SOS.

  • MBB Signs 3 New Players
Hahaha...I need a highlight film like that!
  • MBB Signs 3 New Players
I had the same feeling. I do like his athleticism. I'm hoping we see a significant improvement from Fuller this year. After seeing his #1 rating from the Deng Camp and seeing how physically strong he is, I expected him to challenge for more playing time. As it was he played very little after the first couple of games.
  • MBB Signs 3 New Players
Well this signing is a surprise but I'm happy that we got him. His highlights video is pretty impressive. Caleb Fuller and Adabayo played together at Barking Abbey.

Les has really stepped up our overall athleticism with this year's recruits and that's something we really need. I think this is a strong recruiting class and, with 7 players signing NLI's, it certainly makes you wonder who isn't coming back. It also appears that something hasn't worked out with Malcolm Johnson.
