Filkins is an impressive athlete. He has speed and incredible open field running. We'd be very fortunate to land him.
  • Cal Poly NCAA Suspension - Ridiculous!
Why am I not surprised that Carolina cheated knowingly with the fake classes gets a slap on the wrist and Poly gets pounced upon for an honest, accounting error? The NCAA and the big time cheaters should be ashamed of this sham. But, hey, the rich and powerful can afford to be above the law...
  • WBB NCAA Tournament
This is over and done but I recently saw this tweet from Kevin Blue regarding his thoughts on why the Ags ended up a 15 seed and sent to Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament:

The battle for the Big West title is going to be a dogfight. The Ags are currently sitting in third place 2 games behind Hawai'i. The Rainbow Wahine are on a roll having won 6 straight and the Ags will face them on the island in their final series. The current 31-8 record is impressive but I hope we take care of business in the conference and bring home the Big West title.
  • MBB Signs 3 New Players
The Ags have had an offer out to David Skogman a 6' 10 stretch center from Wisconsin for a long time. There is virtually no chance that we will be able to sign him since he now has offers from several high majors and reportedly really liked his visit to Texas Tech who has offered him also.

Anyway, his basketball career nearly ended last summer during an AAU tournament when he collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest. He underwent heart surgery and has since recovered and is playing at a high level again. Scary event for this young man who had no history of heart problems in his family, was a fit athlete and the doctors still couldn't pinpoint the reason for his heart attack even after surgery.

A perfect game and a no hitter and the season isn't over yet. Pretty impressive!
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: UC Davis @ Eastern Washington v2.0
Yes, that final drive in the last minute by EWU...we were just seconds away from advancing to the semis and then....
  • Bertsch drafted by the Dallas Wings
Our focus on academics first and foremost is truly what makes Aggie athletics special compared to the win at any cost programs.

Winning is contagious and, unfortunately, losing is as well. Women's basketball is a great example of this when you look at how the Aggies have dominated lately.

On the other hand, UCSB's women's basketball is an example of how badly things can go once you start losing. In a 21 year span from 1992 to 2012 the Gauchos won 14 Big West Tournament Titles and dominated the conference overall. In the past 5 years they have not had a winning season. They have won only 50 games total including only 2 games in the 2014-15 season.

Thanks, 72Aggie. I remember Neumayr but had no idea he was drafted in 1983. I think Morgan will make the cut. She has great quickness inside and has the ability to stretch the floor and knock down perimeter jumpers as well. We were lucky to have her here throughout her basketball career.
  • Keelan Doss draft hype
I'd love to see him in a Niner uniform!
  • Bertsch drafted by the Dallas Wings
Outstanding! If I'not mistaken, she's the first UCD basketball player ever to be drafted by a pro team men or women.
