One of the biggest factors about why mid-majors schedule lots of road games against power conference schools is because they can make money. UC Riverside beat 3 teams this year on the road that paid them a total of $265,000. It doesn't get much better than that!

UC Riverside, which won buy games at Nebraska ($110,000), Fresno State ($85,000) and San Jose State ($70,000), was the big winner, based on the contracts obtained. And we’re still waiting on UC Riverside’s response to our public records request, meaning that $265,000 came from a handful of its opponents’ game contracts.

I wonder what we earned with all the pre-conference, road games we played this year?
