    How UK OC Rich Scangarello became a 'complete outlier' to reach football's highest level

    A great article. Bob Biggs now has 3 protégés serving in the NFL as coordinators or HC, incl. Nathaniel Hackett and Ejiro Evero. Rich Scangarello is now the OC at Kentucky.

    “At every turn, he was a very, very bright guy,” Biggs told the Courier Journal. “Very inquisitive. Good team guy. He was a pleasure to be around because he’s like a sponge. He just wanted to learn as much as he possible could.

    “We tried to teach him as much as we knew. I think he’d be the first to say that foundation was built at Davis, and of course he’s expounded on that with all the different stops.”

    Worth a read.

    Great article and a nice reflection on UCD, but the life of an assistant coach or coordinator at the college or pro level is a tough one. They don't stay in any one place for very long.
