I was wondering what kind of storm we are going to run into September 3rd. I’m half tempted to go to their spring game to see who they end up with at QB.

“One of the top storylines this spring is expected to be the competition at quarterback to replace four-year starting signal-caller Chase Garbers.

Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave addressed the quarterback situation during his post-practice media availability.

"We're looking for improvement every day," Musgrave said. "Today was our first [day]. We made some good throws, and we made some that we'd like to have back, which is common."

Musgrave went on to talk about the 2022 offense beyond the quarterback position and noted that in addition to Garbers, the Bears also lost their top three tight ends and four wide receivers, as well as two of their top three running backs from a year ago.

"There are going to be a lot of new faces on our offense in 2022," Musgrave said.

Despite losing the experience and production of much of the 2021 offensive unit Musgrave is optimistic about the future.”

"Our whole offense is looking to be much better," Musgrave said. "We're looking to be more potent, better in the pass game, and the run game, too, but we're looking to take our pass game to the next level."
