They had some holes to fill with the coaching change. I am hoping that they are more concerned with the character of the player than it seemed Sac State was last year.

It looks like Cal Poly lost more, at least in quantity, than they gained. It's hard to tell because the sites that track these signings do a poor job. Do you feel Cal Poly's transfers were a loss, a gain or a wash?

Portal was a net negative for Poly but Skipper could be a really good fit for the long term. They lost OL these last two cycles to Michigan and Bama and it’s not like Wulff had those guys knocking teams off the LOS consistently.

Kids with the right measurables on the O-Line that can walk and chew gum stand to make a lot of money in the Portal if they have decent film. Those suckers are hard to find.

Skip will do a good job at Poly, I think its a home run hire.

We lost a lot of talent to the portal and we gained a lot of bodies. Is it a gain, push or loss? Like with every recruiting class we will know in a year or two. I do like what I have seen from Tim Skipper so far in both the staff he has put together and the recruits he is bringing in.

Robert Meyer, Missouri's kicker last season, transfers to Davis. From Colfax.

"Overall, Meyer made 10 of his 14 field goal attempts and 36 of his 38 extra-point attempts. Two of his misses came in the 30-39-yard range.

"Meyer was rated as a five-star prospect out of high school by Chris Sailer Kicking and was ranked as the No. 13 kicker in the class by the organization."

Five-Star Kicker Robert Meyer Enters Transfer Portal After Freshman Struggles at Missouri
Meyer arrived at Missouri as a highly-touted five-star prospect with 55+ yard range and strong kickoff ability, but his 2025 freshman season proved challenging. He converted 10 of 14 field goals (71%) and 36 of 38 extra points while splitting duties with walk-on Oliver Robbins on longer attempts. After inconsistency in practice and competition, Meyer was benched mid-season. His competitive fire and work ethic remain evident, but he needs a fresh start to prove his elite high school pedigree translates to college success. Best fit: Program seeking a developmental kicker with proven leg talent and resilience to bounce back from adversity.

30-39 yards out, left hash, kicking to the north, seemed to be our Achilles heel in 2025. Hopefully this kid or one of the redshirts can figure this out.

Accuracy aside, if we can get the Colfax kid to bang it out of the end zone each kickoff, that'd be a nice improvement on the Kickoff team.

55 yard range for FG's would be awesome as well!

That made me spit my protein shake onto the computer screen, so true. Man we couldn't get that right in '25. Onward and upward and out of the end zone, cheers to that!

my former teammate who often uses a seat of mine spent the entire season screaming ‘kick it out of bounds!’. Giving them the ball at the 35 seemed like a good strategy

This post is not meant to give everyone a heart attack!

End game in Pullman - Pinnick wins the Washington State starting QB job.
