MBB: North Dakota State (0-1) at UC Davis (1-0), Wednesday Nov. 5, 6 pm Don't know if the numbers would back this up, but just from watching the first two games it feels like the Ags are running more set offensive plays than they have in recent years. Last couple of years the half court offense seemed like pass pass run the clock down and let TY or Eli create and score (obviously that's a simplistic view). Since we don't have that individual superstar (yet), we have to run set pieces to get a good luck (still some isolation game with Cooper and Wilson.)
Honestly feels nice to know that on any given night, anyone of several players (Wilson, Sevilla, Omer, Nils, Chappell, etc.) could lead the team in scoring. And when Fagbeymi and Esso-Essis and Daughterly get healthy, we are going to be a very deep team (words that I can't remember ever writing about an Aggie team). Still holes of course (interior defense, rebounding) but it's been a great start to the season.
