I was retiring from the message board at 500 posts but the High Wheeler topic brought me back. Re-retiring, but I thought I'd leave 1 last incomprehensible post just for fun.

Alright, have a relevant day all.

Here's something interesting. In the Pioneer league they settle ties after the 9th inning with a HR derby.

It's an MLB partner league so while MLB does not provide the players they test out potential rule changes.

If you have an extra room in your house they might be looking for host families, who typically get free season tickets and other perks.

The Pioneer League is an independent league so the players will consist primarily of college players who didn't get drafted like Jack Zalasky (former Sac State closer) and Single-A players who were released. Once in awhile a former major leaguer will join an independent team when staging a comeback, but most of those players go to the Atlantic League because it's more prestigious.

I wasn't clear on Biagini's role with the new team. Maybe just a special guest for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sounds like they got some good coaches though. Billy Horton has spent a lot of time coaching and managing in the affiliated minor leagues. Jerome Williams was a good pitcher for the Giants (memorable for his puka shell necklace)) early in his career before the Giants stupidly traded him as well as David Aardsma to the Cubs for that awful LaTroy Hawkins.

This is actually a nice alternative to the River Cats. Not only will the tickets likely be cheaper but the High Wheelers will actually try to win. The River Cats since the Giants came in don't give a hoot about winning-it's completely about getting their minor leaguers their reps and serving as a test kitchen for marginal pro players they hope they can fix.. The stats are what matter to the analytics nerds like Farhan Zaidi. I saw Kyle Harrison completely dominate the Oklahoma Dodgers but they pulled him after 3 innings because they saw what they needed to see from him for their nerd report. I hate to say it but the River Cats are a farce these days . If you go don't go with expectations of seeing a good baseball game, more like a spring training exhibition where the result doesn't matter.

But Pepper scored the majority of his points against significantly better teams than Thomas would have faced so it sort of evens out.

Right now Sac State couldn't beat the University of Phoenix in basketball but it doesn't mean the Aggies are bad for losing to them or that they will have a tough time with UCSD.

All bets are off and records mean nothing during Causeway match-ups in any sport. In 2001 I believe it was UCD destroyed the hornets in baseball. The next season, facing a Sac State team that was terrible they were shut out by the exact same pitcher they torched the year before.
  • Poll: Who Will Be '23-'24 FCS Champs?
You should all be rooting for Montana. If they were to win you could console yourselves during the offseason with UCD losing by only 8 points to the national champion.

Sac State mysteriously left any mention of that game off their website for some reason. Hmmmm. One of Jessup's wins was a forfeit by Antelope Valley. Perhaps they decided to stay on the range and avoid discoragin' words.

The board could really benefit from people not being whiny, uptight babies when someone makes a general statement about how the coach knows better than they do. Ignore this !

"Generally speaking" is your opinion and not a fact but you go on not caring about facts and I'll gp on finding your opinions worthless.

Incorrect. Humor is not a requirement of sarcasm. Look it up.

*Edited to save space and get to the point more quickly*

Since your understanding of sarcasm is limited I will state something very clearly to you. I do not care if you or anyone find my posts to be interesting or humorous. I post because it amuses me.

Maybe he's moving on because he's tired of going on Aggiesportstalk.com and seeing people crap on his play choices during the game ? Queue the indignant users who do not grasp sarcasm.
