Cleeland’s true measure will be against Montana. Not a 19th ranked SMU or a Stetson. With ample time Cleeland has made some good throws. He be under duress this Saturday. Nothing substitutes game day experience against a top tier team. The Aggies staff will have the team prepared. Go Ags!
The Aggies seem to be overlooking Portland. If Plough doesn’t change QB’s soon, there will be no joy today. I’m surprised by the casual effort so far. A tale of two halves? I’m trying to be optimistic.
Interesting game tomorrow. The Vandals picked up former EWU OC Shoemaker. During his tenure at EWU with Barriere their offense averaged 500yds/game. Can Shoemaker replicate this with Joshua Wood this season? Only time will tell.
Movielover: The quarter zip fleece I bought was $39.95 which is probably regular price. I think the hoodies were a little cheaper, but I don’t recall exactly how much they were. I suspect the Aggie gear was out last week for the first playoff game with RI. There were lots of L and XL available. No medium that I usually wear. I tried on the small and it fit perfectly so I bought it. Costco usually marks down clothing so I would look for a price reduction if you live nearby.
Jdur: The spot I’m referring to is next to the concessions on the West side with a “Merchandise” sign. I believe it was open when we went to the Idaho State game. Years ago when my daughter attended Davis they used to have pop up tents near the main entrance that had nice gear. My wife and I bought a couple of vests and jackets that we still wear.
I stopped by the Woodland Costco before the game and bought a quarter zip fleece by champion with an embroidered CA logo. There was a pullover hoody that I didn’t buy. Last year before the Illinois State game I did buy a hoody at Costco. Very nice quality. The downtown Aggie store didn’t open till noon so we went to Sudwerk for lunch instead. At the game we saw the playoff merchandise in Edwards. Didn’t see anything we liked. The usual Aggie merchandise spot around the back was closed.
We were in section 123 as well. Pinnick was sitting alone. But when he got up, Plough was talking to him. Coach Plough is a great mentor. Just watched Plough’s emotional presser on KCRA. He loves this team. I hope Pinnick sees this and comes back for another season.
The Redbirds were the better team today. Illinois State knew the goal line play where Pinnick threw the interception. It was similar to last weekends Aggies touchdown against Rhode Island. Great season Aggies!
Dr. Mike you were right. Coombs dialed up the defensive schemes to put pressure on Pennington. I think it wore on Pennington as the game went on. The defense also forced 4 fumbles which was key. While the Aggies had a slow first half, they made up for it in the second half. Wow, what a game. Bye week comes in at a good time for players to rest and heal up. Go Ags!
Aggienation818: Nothing. I thought he has done well in the two games he’s played. There’s a tremendous upside with him. The UW game is a great opportunity for Harper to play. Like Movielover said start Pinnick and give Harper some reps.
Why not start Harper this weekend. Change it up and see what he can do. I understand the money games and the chance to play FBS teams like the Huskies. But there is so much to risk with a promising Aggies group this year. I would have much rather seen a game with Stanford. Go,Ags!
Dr. Mike: This is insanity! The ACC has taken advantage of Cal and Stanford. Andrew Luck will evaluate and tweak Stanford Football. He sounds passionate and professional in his interviews.
Troy Taylor will need to perform. Same with Coach Wilcox at Cal. Heard Cal got the 5 star QB back originally committed to the Bears.
Movielover: I believe it. Does UCLA have the donor base to sustain this? CAL is having a challenging transition. Same with Stanford. Why in the world did they break up the Pac12? Asking for more media money. Sheesh!
