I predict a pretty good day for the offense in general. USD has nowhere near the size and strength that Tulsa had in the trenches. I also want to see Hunter put together another consistent performance. That was his biggest issue in the shortened season. He would be playing really well but then have a bonehead play like unforced fumbles, scrambling backwards for 20 yard and taking a sack, etc. He didn't do any of that against Tulsa which was encouraging.

Yep, like I said we cannot overlook the Toreros. They'll be hungry to get one in the win column. I'm less worried about warm weather games after looking at how the guys handled the heat and humidity in Tulsa. Conditioning looks like its in a good place.

EWU always seems to have our number. They might end up being the most difficult game of the season including Tulsa. That being said, I think the Aggies have the capability to be competitive in every remaining game, it just comes down to if they are going to play up to that potential.

Don't let that fool you, they will be competitive this season. Lost by 7 to New Mexico State and by 10 to Kennesaw State last season.

Oh I absolutely agree with you in that regard. I think Montana is the largest example of preferential treatment when it comes to the polls, but Montana State and Eastern Washington also come to mind. It's much easier to make large jumps in the polls early on in the season so I wouldn't be surprised to see Davis in the top 10 after week 1 is complete, but depends on what some other teams do on Saturday.

Yeah it was a tongue in cheek statement that maybe just didn't convey in a text format. I do not think that the Aggies are the #1 team in the country by any means, just a funny observation after a partial week 1.

After Thursday games of week 1, Massey has the Aggies ranked as the #1 FCS team in the country! Enjoy it for a couple days hahaha.

I expect those rushing numbers to look much better against San Diego

I think the run game will improve against more appropriately sized FCS d lines. Tulsa has size and speed in their front 7.

Prince is a very talented, big, and bruising RB. It was bound to happen at some point in the game. The defense shut an FBS offense totally down. They were absolutely excellent.

Agreed, I was admittedly a Hunter doubter after the spring season but that was a complete performance. Accurate and smart decision making. No forcing of plays. Very excited to see what he does against FCS defenses.

What a performance! Aggies defense looked elite and the offense did just enough to win it! A game to remember for sure! GO AGS!
