New offer on JUCO DE/LB Darius Wilson. Davis is his first D1 offer.
  • Poll: How many wins for UC Davis this Spring?
As much as I wanted to say over, I went with under. We're going to have a new QB at the helm which isn't always a bad thing, but it's a total unknown. Cal Poly is a total mystery at this point. MSU, EWU, and Weber are always tough games.
  • New Uniforms
I think the last jerseys has sort of a grid pattern on them that I don't see here. They look similar in nature though. I like the addition of the names on the back.

BOOM! 3 star OL Jake Parsons has committed to UC Davis!
  • 2021 Football Recruiting
New offer on 3 star DB Skyler Thomas. Holds other offers from NAU and UNLV.
  • 2021 Football Recruiting
That was them receiving scholarship offers. Porter just committed while Rex remains uncommitted at this point.
  • 2021 Football Recruiting
LB Porter Connors has committed to UC Davis! Maybe that will help sway his brother, Rex, to also commit! Also I think this makes our first commit ever from Utah? The recruiting net is getting bigger.
  • COVID-19
They don't have a vaccine... It literally says herd immunity through the use of a safe and effective vaccine...
  • No Big Sky football this fall
Again this isn't only about the athletes. It's about how it spreads. An asymptomatic college student can easily transmit it to at risk populations. Additionally we don't know all of the long term, possibly permanent, damage this disease is causing to the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. I work in healthcare and I've seen what it's doing to at risk populations. Even people who have "recovered" spending months in rehab struggling to breathe and unable to walk for more than 5-10 feet without becoming fatigued. If we can prevent even 1 person from suffering this fate than a shut down is entirely worth it. Football is a game, people are losing their lives.

Awesome catch! With a new QB the more receiving talent the better!
  • 2020 All-Big Sky Preseason Team
I know this is a prediction for the (maybe) upcoming season, but I really don't see how Gilliam doesn't get in over the other 2. Most rushing yards of the 3 and most total yards with the least games played. I guess you could argue that he got those stats by just more volume of carries.

    Josh Davis
    15 games played
183 attempts, 1136 net rushing yards, 11 TD
    29 receptions, 133 yards 1 TD

    Elijah Dotson
    13 games played
151 attempts, 742 net rushing yards, 7 TD
    70 receptions, 702 yards, 4 TD

    Ulonzo Gilliam
    12 games played
243 attempts, 1249 net rushing yards, 11 TD
    57 receptions, 354 yards, 1 TD
  • 2020 All-Big Sky Preseason Team
Ulonzo Gilliam absolutely got robbed from being on this list...
  • 2021 Football Recruiting
Another new commit! DB Christian Calhoun has committed to the Aggies over an offer from University of San Diego.

  • 2021 Football Recruiting
RB Matteo Perez has committed to UC Davis over his other offers of Eastern Washington and Sac State. Last season Perez rushed for over 2000 yards and added 30 touchdowns on the ground.

  • COVID-19
Legitimate question. Why are you continuing to try to convince people here that COVID-19 is not a big deal? It's painfully obvious that most people here are not buying what you are selling and are very unlikely change their opinion. I'm not saying that you can't have your opinion and voice it, but what are you gaining from all of this?

Found one of the commitments! DB George Moreno out of Sierra College. Went back and looked at high school tape and he plays very fast. Ran a 4.45 40 in HS.

I am aware of the beliefs of the various groups throughout this country. I would consider myself very liberal, but I have lived in the rural south for the last couple of years and have witnessed firsthand the deep roots of racism, homophobia, and other forms of prejudice that are very much still alive in the United States. In fact, the small rural town that I lived in just recently had a cross burned into a young black man's front yard after he led a BLM event. I'm afraid that we just have fundamental differences in our perception of this country's status and unfortunately neither of us are going to change each other's opinions.

I get what you're saying and I imagine it is tricky from a moderators standpoint, but I don't think we as a community can stand for or tolerate that type of ideology. If they and others want to actually discuss COVID-19 that's one thing, but I cannot stand by and do nothing in 2020.

Frankly, I hope that the moderators take a look at this one. I've enjoyed talking actual football with movielover over the years, but this is severely inappropriate.
