K/P Daniel Whelan is taking an official visit to Davis this weekend. On 37 punts he averaged 43.8 yards with a long of 68. Of his 37 punts, 22 landed inside the 20. On 86 kickoffs he averaged 62.3 yards with a long of 75 yards. Of his 86 kickoffs, 77 were touch backs. He has kicked a 52 yard field goal according to maxpreps. I don't know if we are looking at him just for punting or for kicking responsibilities too.

Chris Sailer Kicking has him ranked as the 6th best punter in the class of 2017.

Yes he only has played 1 year of QB and he played WR before that. He had a damn impressive season for it being his first year at QB: 2787 passing yards with 60% completions, 24 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. On top of that he rushed for 808 yards and 12 touchdowns.

As others have mentioned, if he was a couple inches taller and had a little bit more muscle he would be a Pac-12 QB.

According to an article put out by the Mercury News, DB Bennett Williams is hoping for a last minute offer to a power 5 conference team but of the 12 offers he has he is considering SJSU, Columbia, Harvard, Yale, UNLV, and UC Davis. At least we have a shot at landing him, he is a real stud.

ATH Ahkil Crumpton has committed to UC Davis. This kid is a return specialist dynamite, All American returner at the JUCO ranks. GO AGS!

According to Scout, we have an offer out on ATH Josh Braverman out of Lacey, WA.

We had something like 20+ seniors on the team last season so I think we might still have a little bit of space left in this class, it is a huge class though. As far as I know we still need to find a punter which kind of needs to be a priority in my opinion.

Evan Perkins has committed to UC Davis!! GO AGS! He had offers from New Mexico, Sac State, San Diego, Northern Arizona, Columbia, and Dixie State.

I'm not 100% sure on any of the commits that we landed this last weekend. The tweet about the Oregon commit I'm pretty sure is Carson Crawford. He has played multiple positions and is the only other offer to an Oregon athlete that I could find. We only have 2 offers out to pure defensive backs that I can find, Evan Perkins and Bennett Williams both of which are great athletes. Between those 2 I think we have a better chance at getting Perkins. Williams has shown a lot of interest in the Ivy League Schools. I have no idea on the 3rd commitment. I haven't been able to find any real information out there.

Well Kolby Barker committed to Air Force tonight. That leaves Carson Crawford as our only offer out to Oregon recruits. Seems like pretty good odds that we landed him too considering tweets from earlier today. That is an awesome pickup for us if it turns out to be confirmed.

They have to have something lined up. If they didn't this is going to set Cal way back.
