  • WBB: Aggies Playing Pro Abroad
Is Pele still with the coaching staff or is moving on? With the recent assistant coach hire was just curious
  • WBB: Cal Poly at UCD
The small lineup has been effective. What wbb needs to figure out is how to beat the press.. our athleticism in many situations is not the strength of this team.. I am sure the coaching staff addresses this often with team. In our past we did the ‘buzz’.. not convinced this team has the athletes to do this.. what wbb does well is 3’s but the post play has performed at a minimal level…so inside out game becomes one demensional.

  • MBB Off-season 2022

I am also looking forward to a full array of food and snacks…I do miss my half time box of popcorn…go ags
  • Off Season News
For those of us who have been around for awhile it was originally called the Rec Hall’...and I have played many times in those racket ball courts behind the main floor...but great to have new technology for all the games!

Interesting post on the hr.ucdavis.edu job postings...
  • Former Aggies Now Playing Internationally
The Aggie BB alumni are living the dream of professional play!! Go aggies!
  • We need your help to keep AST.com up and running!
just made my donation... always supporting aggie nation!!
  • WBB 11/7: Aggies at #7 Stanford
yep agreed...The pieces of the puzzle need to fit together... not sure yet how it will work... but I have a high confidence in the coaches...
  • WBB 11/7: Aggies at #7 Stanford
I and 20 other Aggie supporters attended the Aggie game... The first quarter was close and Bertch definitely came to play.. She was getting double and triple teamed at times.. The rest of the ladies tended to rush their shots... Free throw was off sync which was a bit unusual... Stanford was much more physical and as the game progressed the Ags got tired... But the positives.. Bertch, bessolo, and the newbee's along with freshman Makaila Sanders hitting a 3 was a highlight......
  • WBB & MBB: Exhibition Double Header Thursday, November 1st
i'll be there for 2nd half of WBB and all of the MBB game.. GO AGGIES!!
  • Basketball Fan Fest 10/26
First, agreed, if it is ESPN...you get lots of students...then the next game it is the same 300 folks at women's BB..With all the current ways to communicate with students via lots of social media, twitter, instant gram, texting..etc and for this old guy uses facebook that we can not generate the interest and engagement with the student population..

Second, I worked for UC Davis for 35 plus years, served on the Athletic advisory committee for 2 years(yaks spent to many hours listening to faculty who did not get the positive side of athletics) and knew Coach Sochor personally,

third, I now see a shift to a more positive vibe with chancellor May and his spouse, the hiring of Kevin Blue, hiring of coach Hawkins, along with Coach Les and Coach Gross and their staff. All have have created a culture that is positive and supportive of the student athlete..

Finally, I really enjoy watching college sports...and will be at Stanford for WBB and will travel this year to Conference BB Tournament in Anahiem in 2019...after all... I am retired and can make the time to get to the 'live' action
  • Basketball Fan Fest 10/26
my observation was the men's and Women's teams were there... Coach Gross let the ladies introduce themselves..... Coach Les introduced the men's team... From there it was interactive with a very sparse attendance....Kevin Blue was there and his visual expression was not favorable. My family and I expected and hoped for a far better tune out.... Not sure what the lack of attendance was... My observation was there were far more people in the ARC than at the event....When I queued students in the ARC the response was.... Fan Fest... What is that... Needless to say am looking forward to the up coming season and as always getting the students to attend remains a significant challenge as well as community support for some outstanding student athletes.. On a related note the family from Indiana will be attending the Indiana game wearing Aggie Blue and Gold... Therefore we now have blue and Gold Hoosiers!! On Thursday evening took the Indiana family to the Aggie Women Volleyball game.. Outstanding performance...and Saturday Lady aggies won 3 to 1 against CSUN... holly cow.. There are some very talented and 'Tall' ladies on both sides!! I now have another team to follow!!
  • Basketball Fan Fest 10/26
I'll be there with family from Indiana!!! True blue and gold Hoosiers!! treated them to Aggie Lady Volleyball last evening... toured them thru ARC, Women's BB practice, and general campus!! this evening is Aggie Fest and expect a full house!! Building should be rocking!!
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
Lets get as many Aggie supporters, Students, faculty and staff to this game! I assume the Chancellor and wife will be attending....These group of outstanding college women have performed at a high level all year long.... I just returned from practice and these ladies are playing great!!!!

I have secured my tickets to the game as well as whole row of folks in section 110!
    G-man
