    From the Sac Bee:

Caden Pinnick of Del Oro High School in Placer County passed for 288 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran for 48 yards and had a score, but the UCD redshirt freshman missed some snaps with a sore shoulder that required an MRI late Saturday. He did return to action to fire an 85-yard touchdown strike to Samuel Gbatu Jr. for a 34-6 lead with 8:59 left to play.

Plough said of Connors’ injury, “We don’t know the extent of it. It is the knee. It could be a couple of days before we know anything. Never want to see your leader go down.” Plough added, “We’ve been working on a goal-line package for Rex the last couple of weeks. The guys were excited about it. Love Rex. Thoughts and prayers for him. Hope that’s not the last time we see him.”

Sac fans are frustrated to say the least. This is a post from a new topic on their forum titled "Boycott the Go-G0 Football Team:"

Only message we can send is to stay away and stop watching. Marion is about himself and his brand. Not the kids or the University.

I’m done going to games the rest of the year. And I’m done watching or paying attention.

The message we need to send is clear, we are Sacramento State Hornets fans. Not Go Go Sacramento fan

    And this from another topic:

There are multiple people in the athletic department who do not support or approve of Marion promoting his personal brand over the university's but when they express their objections Marion just tells them to Go Go see Dr. Wood because he signed off on it.

It seems like some of the Sac faithful are not at all happy with the "Go-Go" that is now on the Hornet helmets. They feel like Marion is excessively promoting himself and his "Go Go" brand. The new helmets now feature SAC on one side, Go-Go on the other side and 916 on the front of the helmet.

I cringed when Rex got stood up at the LOS and then got about a 1000 pounds of "tush push" from several of our O linemen...legs can get bent in unnatural ways in a mass of bodies like that.

Nick Bosa walked off the field with a knee injury last week that didn't initially look all that serious but turned out to be a season ending torn ACL. Rex just might be the #1 DB in the nation at the FCS level. I sure hope his injury is not serious. I'm hoping for the best..fingers crossed.

Official attendance: 12,238. Good student turnout and most stayed late into the game. I hope they'll keep coming back. It really makes a difference having a full house.

I wonder what Dr. Wood will have to say now that his 'Varsity team' just got beat one of our fellow "JV teams."

Sac only has a few members who are regularly active and they also have a few who explicitly call out other members. The hate for the Aggies seems to run deep and they often use crude names and homophobic slurs to describe the Ags. Some don't welcome fans from other teams either and quickly tell them to get the f... off their forum. SochorField wades in over there occasionally and just ignores getting flamed. Be sure you have a thick skin if you post over there.

Now we're talking! I hope to see us reaching out into more of even more of the greater Sacramento area and in communities further west as well.

Wonderful interview with Psyk. He exemplifies what the Aggie program is all about. He's humble and articulate and values academics as well as an excellent football program.

He seemed to not like that the show host was impressed with our AD and the tour of our athletics facilities and especially our strength and sports medicine facility. He went on to say that the locker room for our opponents was lackluster and "didn't even have urinals" so he had to stand in a long line to take a leak. I think he's just unloading his frustrations about being 1-3 right now.

That sums up my thinking as well, Mike. I hope we see some improvement in our medium to deep passing accuracy this week. Pinnick doesn't have the biggest physical targets in our WR's but they've been open quite a few times this season when the ball hasn't been in a place that they had a chance to make a play. Other than that, I think Pinnick is progressing nicely.

The other area of improvement I'd like to see is in our tackling particularly around the edges. Teams are going to continue to use their speed to run wide on us around the corners as long as we continue to give up big chunk plays. I'm sure that finishing the tackles and defending the edges has been one area of focus for improvement this week.

He claims there was no way 17k people were at that game..davisguy52

Their coach said that Davis "lied...told a fib" about the attendance. He went on to say that schools inflate their attendance so that it will help with recruiting because kids want to play in front of big crowds and the big attendance numbers also help with getting corporate sponsors. He thought we had around 9000 and the host of the show thought it was 11,000...not sure why their estimates are more "factual" than ours...

It was really interesting to hear their right guard and the coach talk about the battle in the trenches and how it is much, much more about various techniques and "hand violence" than pure power straight ahead. That conversation starts around the 20 minute mark of the video.

Sac State now leads the nation in sacks with 18. In an interview on KCRA sports, Marion said he likes that his defense is getting sacks even when they aren't blitzing.
