Good grief...all Sac had to do was run the clock out when they got the ball back with 2:30 to go in the 4th. Then Marion gambled again and called for a pass play that was picked for a TD. Then Sac moves right down the field and gets 2 TD's called back for holding and then misses a 47 yard FG and loses the game.

This loss is on Marion...he gambled once too many and it bit him in the ass...

Same Sac player also!

NAU is thumping Utah Tech 31-10 at the half.

Sac 17 Nevada 10 at the half.

Nevada scored with a minute to go in the half to tie the game at 10 but Sac's Cardell Williams throws a 75 yard TD bomb to take the lead into the half.

Nevada is shooting themselves in the foot. 3 straight penalties including targeting. Sac is driving due to the penalties. 7-0 Sac at the end of the first Q.

Sac is up on Nevada 7-0 late in the 1st Q. Marion is pulling out all of the stops. Sac converted a 4th down at mid-field on their opening drive and then threw a long pass off a reverse down. The biggest gamble was converting a fake punt on 4th down and 7 from their own 4 yard line. He's definitely a gambling man!

I think the Hornets win also. They're loaded with talent but getting them to play smart, disciplined and on the same page as a unified team will be the challenge for Marion. They have so much talent that they may even be able to play sloppy and still win games.

I'm getting the video but no sound on this podcast. I get sound on the Utah Tech podcast so it seems like it's not something on my end. Anyone else experiencing this?

Caden Pinnick Named Stats Perform National Freshman Player Of The Week

DAVIS, Calif. – With No. 8 UC Davis needing to mount a comeback at Utah Tech on Saturday, Aug. 30, redshirt freshman quarterback Caden Pinnick was up to the task and his clutch performance down the stretch has earned him Stats Perform National Freshman Player of the Week honors.

Pinnick went 21-for-31 on Saturday, finishing with 253 total passing yards, three passing touchdowns and 14 yards rushing. His long of the game was a 60-yard go ahead touchdown toss to Samuel Gbatu Jr., the third passing touchdown of the second half for the Aggie quarterback.

The Aggies needed Pinnick to step up big to help lead them to victory on Saturday and he did, throwing for 159 yards and three touchdowns in the second half. His confident running of the offense led to four-straight scoring drives leading to 24 unanswered points scored by the Aggies to come away with the win.

Pinnick becomes the first Aggie to earn Stats Perform FCS National Freshman of the Week honors since Nick Eaton got the nod during the 2019 season.
