“It was great to play in front of a road crowd and get used to that because we open our season on the road,” said Manjon, who has seemingly perfected the art of the reverse layup.

Les, too, was pleased with the opportunity to get some competitive live action.

“They played very hard and very physical,” said Les of William Jessup.

“That’s just what we needed. It was a typical exhibition game and it showed us that we have work to do. I really liked how we closed the game, and getting to experience a road game was a bonus.”

The Aggie website has nothing about the game but William Jessop has a full write up on their website.

I agree that it's hard to know much about this team from their performance last night but, like I mentioned before, we've had our offensive struggles the past couple of seasons and, unfortunately, this game looked a lot like what we've become accustomed to seeing of offensively lately.

This year's game was much closer than the final score.

He could probably start and do well in the CFL if nothing else pans out for him.

I don't think they will stream an exhibition game.

I just checked the men's and women's schedules and there aren't any games listed as having a live stream or tv coverage. So I went over and checked the Big West Conference site and there are only a few games listed, mostly men's, as having live stream or ESPN+. I think the conference signed a contract with ESPN+ this year but it doesn't look like many games are going to be covered. At least it's not listed in the schedules.

It appears that the Big West has dropped the liver streaming that they have done for years. It will really suck if the live streams and tv coverage are going to be few and far between this year.

I hope someone is able to go and gives us a review. I'm looking forward to seeing this team this year.

I hope you're right, Mike! I've already put in our season ticket order. We've gone for 25-38 in the past 2 seasons and a game like this doesn't exactly get me excited for this year either. I'm starting to think we'd be better off getting season tickets for WBB. Jen Gross just reloads every season now and that makes them exciting to watch.

Ags pull it out in the 74-64 but it wasn't easy. Manjon and Anigwe led the way with 21 and 17 respectively. Anigwe had 13 boards also. 2-17 from 3 is very concerning...that's an ugly stat. Looks like we've got a whole lot of room for improvement.

The Ags lead is down to 2 at 59-57 with 3:24 to go...

We've struggled offensively as a team in general for a couple of years now. We just don't seem to be able to bring in the the kind of offensive players we had during the Hawkins era for example.

Nothing in the first half that would get Aggie fans excited. We're 0-12 in 3 point shooting. I know it's way early but that's not a good omen in a game that you would expect us to dominate. Manjon is leading the way for the Ags with 10 points and no one else has more than 4. Yikes!

My wife is a Michigan grad and in the past few years, until Covid, we've been attending a game in the Big House each fall with some of her U of M college friends from years ago. It's quite an experience to be on campus and then go to the game. There is so much tradition, passion and history. The last game we attended was against Army and there were 111,000 people in the stands. Incredible atmosphere and so much respect for the Army players. It is the Heartland after all.

On of our friends is like your brother-in-law and I'm sure he is in a deep funk right now too.

They have some brief game notes up also. I've always been impressed with how hard their HC, Lancer Van Vogt gets them to play. He's 137-93 in 13 years at the helm of the Warriors.
