In three of their five games so far this season, the UC Davis Aggies have been outgained in total yardage, sometimes by a significant margin.
In those same three games, the Aggies have trailed entering the fourth quarter. Two of those three games were on the road in front of hostile crowds.
And yet, despite all those negative statistics, UC Davis sits at No. 7 in the nation with an unblemished 5-0 record, hoping to stay unbeaten as it heads to Pocatello to take on winless Idaho State in a Big Sky Conference battle Saturday afternoon.
AGGIES over IDAHO STATE … UC Davis is a team of destiny. Three fourth-quarter comebacks in a 5-0 season. The Bengals are hungry, but the Aggies are way too smart and way too focused to look past anyone. Expect another high-octane performance from the boys wearing Blue and Gold. Take the Ags by 27.
“There was a time in the third quarter where I thought maybe we didn’t deserve to win, but that’s when Aggie Pride kicked in and our guys showed their character,” said UC Davis head coach Dan Hawkins at his weekly press conference. “We showed a tremendous amount of heart and character. We’re 5-0 and there are a lot of teams that would like to be 5-0 right now.”
Marc Pilcher, the award-winning hair stylist and makeup designer who won an Emmy for his work on the hit Netflix show "Bridgerton," has died of Covid-19 at the age of 53, weeks after winning the award.
Pilcher's agency Curtis Brown confirmed the news to CNN on Tuesday, referring to a statement the agency gave to Variety, by friends and family.
According to the statement, Pilcher was "double vaccinated" and had no underlying health conditions. He took multiple Covid-19 tests and tested negative to make the trip to the US for the Emmy's ceremony and back to the UK.
