"First of all, I just want to give a huge thank you to everybody who made this day possible. Our athletic department for pouring in the resources necessary to create such an atmosphere, and the Davis and surrounding school districts for bringing the kids out. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be for our student-athletes, and it was a ton of fun. That's a really good Idaho team. We were a bit short-handed today, and I was so proud of how we competed. We played together, we created for each other, I thought we just played a high level of urgency the whole game."

Official attendance: 5567 which is the largest crowd ever to see the Aggie women play.

Great win by the Aggies in front of a huge crowd. This is a team has the potential to one of the great Aggie women's teams. It's going to be fun to watch them this year.

Of note: I watched the last few minutes of the UC Riverside @ Arizona game last night. UCR lost in the finals seconds and they looked really good. It was no fluke that they nearly beat Arizona. Former Aggie, Bria Shine, is a grad student transfer at UCR and she forced a steal in the final seconds and the Highlanders had a chance to tie the game with 2 seconds left but missed the second of a 1 and 1.

The Aggies got up by 15 late in the second quarter and then got sloppy in the last 3 minutes and let the Vandals get back into the game. 41-37 Ags now with 7 minutes to go in the 3rd.

I've been following Aggie football since the early 70's and I don't think I've ever seen a year so decimated with injuries. We've been hanging in there but, I agree, we could be in for a rough stretch. Hope I'm wrong as well...

The official attendance was a whopping 893.

I didn't understand why NDSU got the ball to start the second half either since they won the tip at the start of the game. I figured I must be missing something since the Aggies didn't protest it.

TMZ obtained police dispatch radio from Kneeland's girlfriend, who told operators that Kneeland was armed, had a history of mental issues and told her that he would "end it all."

TMZ reported that the NFL also phoned Plano police after one of its players — believed to be Kneeland — "texted his family goodbye."

Officers responded to "a welfare concern" at Kneeland's residence at 11:40 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 5, according to the Star-Telegram's Nick Harris. A Plano Police Department spokesperson told Harris the officers did not make contact with anyone on the residence.

Kneeland was reportedly pursued by police after allegedly committing a traffic violation. Police said he refused to stop, leading to a pursue. Minutes after evading officers, Kneeland is said to crashed on soutbound Dallas Parkway. Police said he fled the scene of the crash on foot. Officers found Kneeland dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at 1:31 a.m. ET on Thursday morning.

it sounds like the DB situation is dire. — DrMike

I've got my fingers crossed that it doesn't get even worse. I don't ever recall seeing so many serious injuries on the defensive side of the ball and mostly concentrated at the DB position. It looks like we have to score a lot of points in order to have a chance to win in the next 3 games...shootouts or whatever it takes...

Regarding the Aggies' sluggish first half:

“We got lucky to get out of there tied,” admitted Aggie head coach Jim Les.

“I was not at all happy with the way we played early and our lack of energy. We believe in truth telling in our program and there was a lot of truth telling flying around the locker room at halftime. But then our intensity, our effort and our physicality got better. We stress how you can impact the game in so many ways even when you don’t have the ball and that helped turn things around.”

Connor Sevilla post-game comments:

“I give all the credit to my teammates for finding me with the ball when I was open,” said Sevilla, a 6-1 junior from San Ramon.

“I have more confidence in myself this year and I felt great today. I’m blessed to have this opportunity this season.”

Added Les of his budding superstar, “He’s one of those guys who I actually have to kick out of the gym because he is such a hard worker. He’s not tall, but the size of his heart is enormous.”
