Katie Toole is bringing it every game and she's the main reason we're back in this game. 38-31 Gaels at the half. SMC is shooting 59% largely due to our lack of interior defense.

I thought Emma Gibb gave us a few good minutes. She's not afraid to be physical. I think Jen should use her entire bench and play the players who are willing to be aggressive and play with high energy.

It's the lack of aggressiveness that is alarming...

24-8 Gaels after the first. I thought the Aggie defense was bad in the 4th quarter of the Santa Clara game and this was worse. Nearly all the Gaels points are in the paint off layups and the Ags did not commit a single file which tells me they are not aggressively defending at all.

19-5 Gaels with 2:17 to go in the first quarter. Gaels on a 17-0 run. Their first 8 baskets were layups.

The Aggie defense is atrocious...all of the Gaels 12 points so far have come off layups in the paint...

I was simply comparing Maier to the other great Aggie QB's at the college level. O'Brien is certainly the most accomplished QB we've ever had considering his pro career, but I believe, given what Maier has done in 3 years at the D1 level, he deserves to be ranked right up with all of our great D2 QB's. Again, he has proven himself against a consistent diet of D1 size and speed and that's says a lot about his accomplishments.

I'd put him right up there with them and remember, that although they all eventually went pro, none of them played against the level of competition that Maier has during their D2 years. There's a world of difference between the size and speed of the D1 teams and the teams they played against in the D2 Far Western Conference.

The #14 Aggies will host the winner of the Louisville vs South Florida game on Sunday, November 24th.

I think this may be the most talented Sac team we've ever played and Troy Taylor has created a much more disciplined culture in the program. What he has done in his first year at the helm is remarkable.

Tough two days for Aggie fans: first, women's BB sqander a 15 point 4th quarter lead and fall to Santa Clara 62-61, then the MSU knocks the Ags out of football playoff possibility 27-17 and now the men lose to a winless VMI team...ugh...

VMI wins their first game of the season by beating the Ags 89-84 2OT

42-42 with 16:32 to go. Ags are in a dogfight with a hungry team.
