Pint will be back. I think his owner is out of town for a while.

Hey guys, post up often. My wife and I will be driving through the fall color here in New England today heading for Freeport, Maine, and Acadia National Park. Hopefully, we'll have strong wifi tonight and I'll be able to catch some of the game either on Pluto TV or the radio broadcast.

Our 7 week trip ends on October 24th so we'll be home for the Weber State game. I hope we have a 2 game winning streak going by then!

    GO AGS!

I think you're right about that; we're getting the benefit of the doubt because of the strength of our schedule so far and last year's success. The game with Poly could be the make or break game of the season for us though. I keep thinking that this team might really break loose but, so far, we have not shown that we are a playoff caliber team this year.

Gary May is one of the best Chancellor's we've ever had at UCD.

I think we can put the done chain (borrowing that from Pardon my Take) on Eastern Washington and UC Davis. They are definitely not going to make the playoffs, but holy cow, will they even finish in the top half of the league? For two teams that started the season in the top 5 and getting even first place votes, how have they fallen out of the playoffs by week six? Eastern is transitioning quarterbacks, I get it. But they’ve been pretty plug and play at that position for quite a few years, now all of a sudden they have a power outage. And UC Davis, the weapons are there. Maybe terrible coaching follows Dan Hawkins?

I think Thomas has been banged up and playing hurt. We haven't seen him at his best much this year so far.

I hear that...and I'm never happy when I see Sac ranked ahead of us...
  • 2019 BATTLE FOR THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE
There's a lot of football left this season. We could just as easily be 4-2 as
2-4 but for some mistakes. I'm sure the team and the coaching staff is disappointed with the record but I wouldn't count this team out of the playoff picture just yet. Very tough schedule this year against a lot of good teams. Hopefully, we will turn it around in the second half of the season.
  • WBB Recruit
She looks like a good one. 5'11 guard/wing with good ball handling skills, can stretch the floor with her inside/outside shooting and can score with either hand on the drive. She originally committed to Long Beach but now she's going to be an Aggie. Nice!

  • 2019 BATTLE FOR THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE
I can't imagine that there's a football player anywhere that wouldn't want to play for a coach like Hawk. As fans, we often fluctuate up and down with our emotions and evaluations of how the team is playing. Hawk just tries to keep the team focused on learning from the previous game, getting better and moving on to the next opponent. No tantrums and blame. He looks for the positives and just as he says, "We just want to be the best version of ourselves that we can be." Awesome...

  • Week 6: UC Davis @ North Dakota
I think maybe a lot of us were seeing through rose tinted lenses after the quick turnaround by Hawkins and last year's success. Gould had a great eye for talent and was an excellent recruiter and you make a good point about how Hawkins has been able to utilize that talent. My question, then, is whether Hawkins has been able to recruit as well as Gould given our struggles this year? Is he bringing in the level of talent that Gould was able to land? Or, has our talent level slipped and, even with better coaching, and we just don't have the "Gould level" of talent to be able to execute this year?

    Sac State 48 EWU 27

Sac has taken a giant step forward in their program this year and we've gone in the opposite direction...who would have thought that. We have obviously been overrated all season so far due to our success last year. Very disappointing...
