I really don't think it's a big loss for the Aggies. We're already guard heavy and I think we have landed some guards with just as much potential. He's in for a big culture change also going from Chatsworth, CA, to Nashville.

Rivers was an excellent player but he did not play against the kind of competition that Shorts has.

I think the A's will stay and their are plans for a new waterfront stadium. The Warriors will be moving to a new arena, The Chase Center, in SF as well. Those are two big loses for Oakland.

Absolutely tragic. Natalie Corona was only 22 years old and came from a police officer family. She got her Davis badge in August and was only a few weeks into her first solo duties. This is the first police office killing in Davis since 1959.

I was thinking the same thing last night. His determination and work ethic are as good as it gets. He's set the standard for future Aggie PG's. It's a pure joy to watch him play the game.

The Raiders being anywhere but Oakland is a travesty.

I will say this: TJ Shorts II is the best PG ever to wear an Aggie uniform and I've watched the Ags since 1972. He's absolutely incredible.

Ags lose 71-69 in OT. Great effort by the Ags but I really did not like that last possession by the Ags when TJ just dribbled the clock down and then missed a long jumper. That's not his bread and butter. Drive the ball and either get a close shot or foul or kick it out for a 3.

61-61 going to OT. Ags scrapping like crazy! Time for this team to get a good win. Go Ags!

Great comeback by the Ags to tie the game. TJ just put the team on his back and Mooney drained a couple of 3's.

This is a game between two very good defensive teams. I thought the Ags defense overall was excellent in the first half. Irvine is solid defensively and we're having trouble with their size. We just can't shoot from the outside and we turned the ball over 9 times. That hurts.

The writer who said he didn't think the Ags would break 50 points may be right in his prediction.

I sure hope AJ can go tonight. He's had a rough time with injuries over his career. I'm sure he's chomping at the bit to play especially since this is his last season.

The Anteaters will exact revenge on last season’s double-overtime loss that saw UC Davis win the regular-season title. Given the Aggies’ offensive woes, I’d be surprised if they score 50.

Great post, Mike. It really shows our shooting woes this year. I would think that some of that has to be that we have also played teams who are longer and more athletic this season so far but I've seen us miss way too many wide open looks also.SoCalAggie made a good point about us not having the kind of shooting that really allows up to make comebacks once we get a ways behind.

I sure hope that the new recruits will bring some offensive fire power to the team for next season since we will lose our best scorers to graduation.
