Davis Enterprise: Aggies wallop Cal Poly, score 52 unanswered

“They moved pretty good on us on that first drive,” Moe allowed. “But it was just a matter of getting used to what they were doing and all keeping our assignments.”

    Defensive coordinator Robert Tucker agreed…

“I give all the credit to our defense for holding that team scoreless over the last three quarters. It was just a matter of getting used to the speed of the game, and once we did, we were able to shut them down. I’m very pleased with that effort.”

  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
Montana needs to win out to be seriously considered for the playoffs. They'll be sky high and the place will be packed with rabid Griz fans. This will be the most intense environment that the Ags have played in so far this season and the noise will be deafening. This game will be a huge test and a big stepping stone in the Ags' Ascension!

I was a little surprised that we didn't see many of our reserves once we were up big in the 4th. Bad memory of the Northern Colorado finish (not)? Did anyone besides Maier take a snap?

I'm nearly positive that Jamison had a sack also...

The Stats poll is an interesting one. ISU at #3 and two Ivies at 5 & 6. I watched ISU @ Liberty yesterday and they lost 48-41 but they were very impressive regardless. After the disappointment of their loss to us they traveled across the country to play an FBS team and put up 631 yards. The Gueller to Gueller combo as good as Maier to Doss. Not sure I'd want to play them again in the playoffs.

The no penalties thing is amazing. Is it some kind of record?

If it's not a record then it at least ties the record... :yikes:
  • Week 8: Big Sky
It appears that Weber lost their QB for the season with a severe ankle injury
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
The stats were not overwhelming for the Aggies:

Total yards: Aggies 432 Poly 352

    Poly: 75 rushes for 304 = 4.8 per rush

Tehran Thomas 9 rushes for 101
Ulonzo Gilliam 10 rushes for 95

Joe Protheroe 33 rushes for 147

Thanks SloStang...we've been the one's watching Poly roll while we were backpedaling for a long time...

I hate to say it but after watching your offensive play calling, I think you guys need a new head coach. That FB dive into the center of the line gets old. I couldn't believe Poly was running that over and over and getting stuffed over and over when the game was not yet out of hand. Totally uncreative and predictable...

I'm o'k with the 2's and 3's but just let them play aggressive Aggie football...

Hahaha...wow...the way we started I didn't see this coming...
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
That's not accurate: Maier is 17-32 for 200 yards.

True...but certainly catchable balls...Jake and the receivers aren't at their sharpest so far though...
