Venal commits now has TY as enrolled at UCD rather than transferred, so it looks like the rumor is true!

Feels like we will really be running a lot next year. With Cooper and Robinson (6'6" Cal transfer who RS last year due to a knee injury) we will have a very athletic set of wings that could push the ball. I'm sure we are waiting to see how the portal shakes out to add a shooter, and potentially another PG.

Cooper was also a high school teammate of Aggie commit Isaiah Chappell. I wonder if that played a part in landing him.

I was doing some digging last week and found Nils name as someone that several of our coaches were following on Twitter, but wasn’t sure if that really meant anything. Seems like a good fit. He’s a good defender, great hustle, so will fill a lot of what Ada provided

Yeah I remember early on in the season hearing he wasn't really in basketball shape, and he apparently never really was able to crack the rotation.

So I guess my statement that we need to find some scoring in the portal is a huge understatement.

Some scoring will come from guys stepping up. Obviously Mani and Roberson have the potential to be double digit scorers. I think Tamba has a few more pts on average in him, as does Debruhl. But we’ll we need a deep threat along with someone who can create his own shot.

So just looking ahead, assuming no new transfer outs, we have:

Mani, Tamba, Borra, maybe Rocek, and Isaiah Chappell (6’9” freshman) inside,

Debruhl, Marsalis Roberson (cal transfer last year who is recovering from torn ACL), Lose, Carter, and Sevilla on the perimeter.

That’s not a bad core, but we definitely need to find some scoring in the portal.
