I don’t think our offense will be totally new. At the season ticket event Friday, the offense clips Plough showed were all from his OC days.

I read an article a week or so ago that Cal has 47 new players -20 recruits and 27 transfers. Didn’t mention how many they lost. Biggest recruit was retaining Ott - kind of like us with Lan

I didn’t mean to imply that was ‘the’ reason he stepped down. I think last season wore him down and that game (and the playoff snub) didn’t help.

I talked to Dan last season after the ISU game and he was saying it was the worst experience having to coach against his son. That game seemed to suck the life out of him - and we won.

Nice situation for him. Closer to family and gets to mentor without the day to day stress of coaching.

If you’re bored and better at google than me, I’m sure there are other ex-Ags out there playing. I found AJ Johns (variety of teams in Europe and Mexico) and Silar Schneider (starter for Hague in Germany) still out there on foreign rosters.

Just read Cal has 41 players coming in; 24 transfers and 17 high school. Not sure how many transfers they lost. That’s a huge influx.

On an alumni zoom last week, Plough said we gad (if I remember right) 9 grad transfers coming in - new business degree has had a big impact

he’s in town. Up to couple weeks back he was still working in the department, including mentoring some of the younger coaches. I think the assignment is over with the end of the academic year.
