I think you just echoed my thoughts.

the INT? we blocked the following punt for a safety. That long TD run and our missed FG really hurt. Gave them life.

Mercer seemed to adjust well defensively in the second half. Loaded up the box, lots of pressure, dared us to throw deep and emphasize stopping QB runs. We were running well early in the 3Q but that disappeared - a couple false starts out us behind the chains and put more pressure on Pinnack.

is the Cal Expo plan for a single grandstand? That doesn’t seem enough if their goal is the largest concert venue in the Central Valley

Probably don’t need to worry about lightning here for these neutral hames

I think he’s referring to the stadium layout not location. That’s another horrible aspect to Viking stadium - the location.

when I played, out games vs Northridge State were Devonshire Downs, an old horse track. One set of bleachers with a wide track between that and the field. Horrible lighting (maybe horses have better night vision than me). What a dump

think back to the 49ers vs Raven Super Bowl with power outage. Almost got the Niners a big comeback win

I have a feeling we open the Pinnack era the way we did the Jake Maier era - long pass right out the gate.

odds I see show us by either 3.5 or 4.5. Some of the analysts suggest either not betting on the game, or taking Mercer and points

Somebody at our alumni zoom asked about Carrillo -> sounds like they think he could be back late, be able to play 4 games (like the TE last year) and then request a medical redshirt. They are concerned that could be turned down, thus burning the year. Sounds like something the compliance folk have to work out late in the year.

he mentioned a couple guys that were injured at the scrimmage and were out but i didn't get names (probably were nicknames that I'm not familiar with).

I'll have to skip the viewing party on Saturday -> youth soccer kicks off saturday and the last (or 4) grandkid games starts at 4:00. I'll listen and then catch more of the game on TV while a bunch of them probably end up in our pool.

from what Plough was saying, Pinnack’s numbers in camp made it the obvious (but still tough) choice. Especially the percentage of explosives plays. They track and analyze every competitive scrimmage play.

we’ve been paying a Team Aggie fee for tickets for years. The new wrinkle is that it is now per seat instead of a single fee. But, if I understand, the seat fees will be applied to your whole donation (as the current fee is now). I’m not sure how doing it this way will increase folks donations unless it’s just how the money is allocated - I donate an amount that gets me to the level I want minus the ticketing fee. There are several changes to the perks that may get folks to raise their total donation up in a significant manner.

the idea of repurposing the horse track into a large concert venue makes sense; making it into a combo concert venue/football stadium is an interesting idea and maybe the only practical approach considering the financial state of the CSU system and the state.
