I kind of think that if Silar hits his first shot in a game, that will release the pressure he's putting on himself. if he starts to go off, i think the rest will follow. again, personnel-wise, this is essentially the same starters as the end of the season. Stefan and Neufield are both solid additions. Michael O's defense was huge for us last year, so we have to find a replacement, but offensively we should be better than we were.

I really can't imagine this being moved; i can see it being cancelled. if you are going to commit that level of effort/money to move the game, you have to find a location that will have MUCH better air quality than Davis on Saturday. I don't know where that location is, other than Reno (unless the wind somehow changes direction). playing early in the morning, or later at night would help.

I hope the players are staying focused on the game. This is a very dangerous game. Rested rival, coming off a huge loss and now all this uncertainty.

Right now the index is 80 which is ‘moderate’. Sac yesterday (and today) has been around 180 which is unhealthy. Moving it would be a real challenge both logically and practically
-> both Berkeley and Moraga have unhealthy indices.

My weather app shows a good air quality index of 30 in Davis, unhealthy 160 in Sac. Is that right? Also show a sunny 69 for next Saturday. Curious what the status of Thomson is.

Seems a bit trivial now, but I thought a big play was the early defensive holding against us in the first quarter. Instead of their second 3 and out inside their 20, they converted a third and short, and continued a TD drive. Who knows, short field -> 17-0 and the game takes on a WHOLE different field. That was about where I lost radio broadcast up here in the State of Jefferson. I told my wife at the time ‘that’s a BIG play’. Would have ended differently, probably not but that was at least a harbinger of what came later.
