  • MBB 3/9 5 pm DH Senior Game: Riverside (9-22 & 3-12) @ UCD (11-18 & 7-8)
The 7-footers from UCR are from the Netherlands and New Zealand. Two of Hawaii’s are from Australia. Northridge’s is from Guinea. Might have to expand our recruiting sphere
  • BWC tournament draw
Forgot the reseed. So beat Fullerton and pull for CSUN.

i’d be happy with that draw. We can beat the titans. Feel okay against UCSB it CSUN. Or we can go one and done. That kind of year

I thought Scott March said he would be 6 or 7 depending on CSUN game. Might have heard it wrong
  • MBB 3/9 5 pm DH Senior Game: Riverside (9-22 & 3-12) @ UCD (11-18 & 7-8)
That was painful. We were sitting behind UCR bench and could see that develop

Riverside on fire. Our defense looks good but they are hitting desparation long shots. Not the case on our end ov the court
  • WBB 3/9 2:30 pm DH Senior Game: Santa Barbara (8-20 & 5-10) @ UCD (22-6 & 14-1)
I hope to be there for at least the second half. Depends on how soon I can get my wife out of the Dixon antique fair!
  • Spring Game at Aggie Stadium
How about Hunter Rodriguez? Seemed like he and Brock were neck and neck last year

Damned teenagers with their damned rap music!
  • MBB 3/7 7 PM: Hawai'i (16-12 & 7-7) @ UCD (11-17 & 7-7)
I don’t mind the harshness of his comments. We just gave up 50 points in the second half to a middle of the pack team ( who hasn’t really impressed on the road) after a good defensive half. I thought we let our offensive struggles at the start of the half (we were something like 2-12 starting off) effect our effort on the defensive end. We stiffened a bit down the stretch to give us a chance to pull it out, but they made shots when they had to.

Disappointing. A win probably would have put us in position for a 4 seed AND winning BWC record. Now we hope we get the 5 (no real difference). I’d just as well be 6 and play USCB. I’m more disappointed we’ll be ( I hope) 8-8.

    What a pisser
  • MBB 3/7 7 PM: Hawai'i (16-12 & 7-7) @ UCD (11-17 & 7-7)
That’s about as well as we’ve played offensively in a long time. I’m guessing we’ll see a lot of zone in the second half. Have to keep the big men out of foul trouble

i sat at the basketball game last week with Sam Young (football guru, former grad bartender). He said he eats lunch there almost daily and that he had heard its to be torn down in 2 years. He didn't say anything about what the future might be after the teardown/rebuild.

The whole Russell corridor is going to look much different. Sounds like more student housing on that side of Russell, down the way

  • Big West Tournament Seeding Prospects
slipping into 6th wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. start with (likely) UCSB and then have to beat Fullerton to get to Irvine. I don't see anyone beating Irvine. They defend really well, and have multiple scoring options both inside and out.
  • Delvion Jackson Graciously Says Goodbye
his was an odd situation; he never showed up this season on the roster so it wasnt like he was going through a traditional red-shirt. looking through his twitter (not something i normally do), it looked like he was tight with many members of the team, including staff. sounds like a good kid, and he showed signs of being a quality player -> hope it all works well for him. he's having a good exit, so i think Les and company will help him find a good spot to continue his career.
