Davis men take down St. Mary's 2-0. Women beat Utah Valley 3-0.
  • Shredville gear?
I saw a guy wearing a nice shredville polo at the Cal game. Now I'm curious where he got it...

My wife went to USF, so she's going to wear my dad's Bob St. Clair HOF jersey to represent USF football and really confuse a lot of people.
  • 2024 Men's Soccer
Davis won their last 2 games (both 2-1) against Santa Clara and Oregon St. Next up, Saint Mary's, USF and Stanford. I'll be at the Stanfod game with my daughter's team on 9/18.
  • Names on Jerseys
In a world of NIL and CU/Prime's approach to college football, I like Plough's approach to Aggie Pride and creating a team atmosphere. Let the weekly defensive awards tell people who these young men are.

Did Scott Marsh just say, "This is a terrible game."

You could see Jen saying, " That was five seconds?!?" I'd be curious to rewatch it and see if it was a full 5 seconds.

    Phew, close one! Moving on!
  • WBB: 2024 Big West Tournament
Huge turnover! Ags up 1 with 20.9 to go and possession.

How old should people be in this group? There are people in their 30s and 40s, (possibly 50s?), with a decade or two of experience. Is that still too young?

  • MBB: San Diego (13-7, 7-1) @ the Aggies (12-7, 7-1) 2 pm Saturday 1/27
Is it just me, why is ESPN+ not showing the score?
  • Slack State to offer program in fighting.
This popped up in our local paper today. My friend's daughter also just joined the first all-female team at Saint Francis in Menlo Park, after participating in the youth wrestling program at Serra for the last 5 years or so.

"Aguilar has paved quite a path in the sport. She’s been engaged in combat sports most of her life, growing up studying Muay Thai. Since getting serious about wrestling in middle school, she has steadily grown into not just a force on the varsity mat, but on the Greco-Roman national scene as well."

Zero, really? Have you seen the rise in women's wrestling and MMA/UFC? I don't quite understand what Urijah is promoting here and specifically what Combat U is. But if it gets people who are already training in to college courses, why is that a bad thing?

Meet the newest college women's wrestling team

Tamyra Mensah-Stock (along with Gable Steveson) went on to make boatloads of money in the WWE after winning an Olympic gold medal in wrestling.

Just my two cents, but I feel like Davis (and many other schools, including Fresno St.) should bring back wrestling programs with coed squads, or even female only if Title IX is an issue.

Also, you can't argue about concussions when colleges put billions of dollars into football. If concussions are concerning, time to drop football, soccer, competitive cheer, equestrian, etc.
