Well, he was suspended from the team right before the end of the regular season. Was it ever released why he was sent home from that road trip?

I wrote "lesser sport" with heavy sarcasm. I was a less than mediocre wrestler in high school, but fell in love with the sport and still loosely follow it at all levels. As hard as I tried (too hard apparently), I couldn't convince my son to give a try. But, there is a kid from his high school that got a full academic scholarship and a walk on spot at 125 on the team under Spencer Lee at Iowa.

Lesser sport?!? ;-) Northwestern actually has a pretty good wrestling program.

Man, I saw this news today and do not like the change to a cow.
I always thought the story behind Gunrock was really interesting.

Regarding USF, the new coach comes from USD and Hawaii. My wife went to USF, and she gets to mock me everytime USF beats Davis. This may grow the rivalry a bit.

Can't forget Burl Toler. He got injured after being drafted and never played in the NFL. But he was the first African American NFL referee. His grandson is (was?) a coach at Cal.

I visited Kezar recently. We were there the day they dedicated the field to Bob St. Clair. He played HS, college and NFL football all on the same field.
