  • UC to stop using SAT & ACT scores for admissions
Our son starts high school in the fall, and the idea of applying to college is already starting to stress us out. When I talk with people who went to a UC school in the 90s, we all agree there is no way we'd get in today. I don't know how getting in to a taxpayer-funded public school became so difficult and competitive. My wife sent me this article a few weeks ago.

Those things are really common in the cycling world. I think different companies have different spins on what they provide, but they are all about recovery.

Did you read your own article? She failed the drug test and was stripped of all 9 medals. I'm not saying I have any answers, but testosterone levels are a pretty basic test for doping in any sport, male or female.

"The positive feelings would be short-lived. News of the transgender lifter who broke female records began circulating, and just a couple of days later, Gregory was stripped of her titles and barred from competing as a woman."

"He said Gregory never volunteered that she was transgender and event organizers didn’t confirm she’d competed in the wrong category until a post-match drug test was administered."

Cooper Kupp seems to be doing ok. I hate to root for NDST, but, it would be nice to see another FCS kid succeed.

Ouch, at about 3:30 when he knocks Devon King out.

It was a rhetorical question. I'm specifically calling out @movielover for bringing up "riots" in Portland, "MSM" and "war zones," and taking a knee in the MLB. None of it has anything to do with Aggie basketball or the transfer portal (which has ties to other sports including baseball). All I'm saying is, we don't have to devolve in to politics whenever a controversial city, person, subject, etc. gets mentioned. If Squire wants to go to Portland, best of luck to the young man.

How did a discussion about offseason basketball turn in to politics in the MLB? Urgh... I'd like to think this forum is a place to focus on Aggie athletics, and not somewhere to vent about politics. At least take it over to the OT Board.

The Sac Bee said Gilliam had a boot on his foot on the sideline. That doesn't sound like good news.

Nice little flurry!!! Probably too little too late, but still looks good.

After a few frustrating days on the my turn website, I called Kaiser and they were able to book me an appoint. I got my first shot 2 weeks ago in Oakland, and 2nd shot is next Friday. The minor frustration was that the day of my 1st appointment, I got the notification from the County of San Mateo that I could get my shot 0.5 miles away. I just kept my appointment with Kaiser in Oakland, which means I have to make the drive again next week. But a small inconvenience in the big scheme of things.

Hmm, not sure how much I should read in to those rankings, but Oregon is 22, 5 spots below MSU. I'm also not sure if the injury plays in to their ranking.
Worst case: The injury to the right foot of freshman Te-Hina Paopao that keeps her on the sideline continues to have a ripple effect.

Yep. Although, I'm pretty let down that UCSB was able to shut Manjon down so hard. 5PM tomorrow!

Edit, "I need another drink." ;-) Congrats to UCSB. My brother-in-law gets to gloat. The (much) better team won tonight.
