• 2023 Week 1: UC Davis @ Texas A&M Commerce
They'll be really tough. At least this schedule is a little less daunting than last year. 2024 looks favorable.

Idaho is only playing 4 home games this year by choice because they decided to cancel a game with DII Western Oregon and moved some games around.
  • New Rule Changes for Football
I'm just glad they didn't add the rule where the clock would run on incomplete passes. That I was really against. It could just move the Overton window but I don't hate the changes. NFL rules are similar.
  • Serial Killer on the loose in Davis?
That was a really good read.

@aggieFinn: Yeah, at first I thought he was just asking for money but then I warmed up to him. Do you know what year he began living in Davis?
  • The UC Davis Football Draft/UDFA Thread
Would probably be more but many decide to transfer up for their final season before they graduate/declare.
  • 2023 Week 1: UC Davis @ Texas A&M Commerce
Yes, they added a series with Sac around the same time they announced this one but in reverse order.
  • Oregon State Road Trip
Does Southwest fly from Sacramento to Eugene or just PDX from SMF?
  • Big West Tournament
Isn't it often said n Hawaii, that Las Vegas is the 9th island due to a high native Hawaiian population there?
  • March Madness
They had like a crazy long winning streak after that game with the Ags. Deserved to mke the NCAAs.

Kind of interesting since Wazzu beat EWU in Spokane around the same time Davis played there.
  • MBB: Upsets Galore Tonight in the Big West
Arguably, the St Marys game was not really an upset. They were home and have looked to be roughly Gonzaga's equal this year. A lot of Zags fans thought they would lose at least one of 3 times to them.
  • Aggie Pantheon
I loved that 2011 team. Went to a bunch of games that season, my last quarter at school.
  • Aggie Pantheon
Can we get a women's comparison too? Would anyone from 2011 make that team? Or do more recent teams have the starters?
  • Mike Cody promoted to OC
They needed a Cody at OC.
  • Baldwin out at Cal Poly
I know before Hawk was hired some were saying Hawk and some wanted Wulff since he's local.
  • Cody Hawkins new Idaho St. Coach
I'm happy for Cody. It seemed like he struggled early as he learned coaching but I liked him more this year. I hope Idaho State doesn't kill his coaching career before it starts. After Northern Colorado, they are probably the worst program in the Big Sky.
  • SI Suggests Troy Taylor for Stanford
As a Cal fan, I'm not happy that he's probably going to Stanford, but I think he could be persuaded to join Cal if and when they finally dump Wilcox. He might struggle getting athletes who qualify for Stanford. Cal would be tough for him too but maybe a little less so as a public school.

As a Davis grad, this would be great. It would stop much of Sac's momentum and some of the dumb jocks who just want to win might transfer out.

From Troy Taylor's perspective: He doesn't have to move his family (or can get a property closer if he really wants). He knows Northern CA and he is the head coach in the conference he grew up in. I only saw him leaving for Cal, Stanford, SEC (but they wouldn't hire an FCS coach with no playoff wins prior to this year) or maybe if USCLA combo opened up.
  • 2022 FCS Playoff Schedule & Scores
In fairness to William & Mary it was 17F at kickoff....even colder than the game at SDSU last year?
I forgot the games were on Friday other than SDSU-HC.
What was Sac's attendance yesterday? Less beng a Friday? Thank god they lost.
  • Campus to move Spring graduation to Sac!
They are trying to be UC Sacramento...good when it comes to competition between the Aggies and Sac State, but negatively that local buisinesses will be impacted by moving commencement. Also having graduation on campus is a perfect introduction to the school for family members and other kids of college age. My first impressions of certain colleges were at the graduations of relatives.
  • Baldwin out at Cal Poly
An overrated coach. Everyone hated him at Cal.
  • What Will It Take to Keep Pace with the Success of Sac State Now?
I hate the whole "state school" chant. It's just dumb since we're all public schools. I get they are trying to infer a UC is better than CSU but it really is major dependant. In several cases, a Cal Poly degree in architecture or engineering is just as impressive as the same degree as that of a UC. They teach hands on and as we know, UC is mostly theory.
