They had some holes to fill with the coaching change. I am hoping that they are more concerned with the character of the player than it seemed Sac State was last year.

    Troy Taylor Part 2???
  • Coaching Carousel
I really thought Wulff had us headed in the right direction, but he loss me when we lost to an 0-8 Portland State at home. PSU finished 1-11 with Cal Poly being their only win.

I really feel Wulff was a great recruiter and raised the talent at Cal Poly, but he and the staff did not manage the team and games well. I was also annoyed that he never did press conferences and they never released a depth chart all season. It is a head coaches job is to engage the fan base and you do not do that hiding from the camera.

Possibly. That was a huge loss. PSU finished 0-11 in all their other games.

I felt the we were turning the corner right up to the Portland State loss.

Troy Taylor is available, but seeing it ended ugly at Stanford and our new AD is from Stanford I doubt it.
  • Battle for the Golden Horseshoe: UC Davis @ Cal Poly
Absolutely bad calls went both ways. I already said it probably didn’t make a difference and Davis was the better team last week (and this week too).

What got me on this play and he was juggling it on the way down and it bounced off the ground and up into his stomach and they still called it a catch after reviewing it. Once again I am not saying it was a game changing play, just they got this call wrong like many other that night that went against both teams. I was not impressed with the refs, but was impressed with the Aggies.
  • Homecoming: Northern Arizona @ UC Davis
    Nice win for the Aggies.
  • 2025 Big Sky Games Week 7
UNC is much improved this year.
  • 2025 Big Sky Games Week 7
The offense is more dynamic with Deiffenbach. Can go deep with his arm and can run. Bo Kelly is a great leader, but Deiffenbach brings better physical talents to the offense which opens up the play book.

Doesn’t mean it was correct. The above photo shows it was not, but like I said probably didn’t matter. The Aggies were the better team last Saturday.

The catch that was not a catch. Not only did it hit the ground, he was juggling it on the way down. Not sure it would have mattered though.
  • 2025 Big Sky Games Week 7
How about Cal Poly’s first 4 conference games:
    @ Sac State
    UC Davis
    @ Montana
    Montana State
  • Battle for the Golden Horseshoe: UC Davis @ Cal Poly
I am not into moral victories, but I do think this game shows Cal Poly might of finally turned the corner on righting what was a sinking ship for the last decade. Good luck the rest of the season. If the Mustangs do not win a Big Sky Championship I am pulling for the Aggies.
  • Sac Bee Says Rex Connors Lost for the Season
I am sorry to hear about the Rex and Porter. They both are great players. Here is wishing both of them a speedy recovery.
  • Battle for the Golden Horseshoe: UC Davis @ Cal Poly
Congrats on the win. Your QB is impressive.
