Well we certainly can’t go anywhere but up because we are in the basement right now. I also respect the Aggies and enjoy the rivalry. True student athletes.

Congrats on the win. To be honest after watching Cal Poly give up 52 points in the first half to PSU, I was expecting a much bigger beat down by the Aggies. I think we were fortunate that Larison did not play. He would have had a huge night against our D. I also think we would have been a little more efficient on offense had Huard played, but not near enough to keep it close. Good luck the rest of the season.

After last week I am not expecting much from my Mustangs. That said, I am hoping we can at least make it a competitive game.

My dad used to say we can HOPE in one hand and $&@“ in the other and see which one fills up first. I think after Saturday I will be left with a handful of $&@“.

At least you lost to the team that dominated the team that just dominated us. I feel CP is headed in the right direction as a program, but it is still a year or two away. The program was broken when Baldwin took over. Davis had a bad day against a ranked FBS team, but is going to compete with the best team in the Big Sky. CP is not there yet.

Not sure, but looking at their schedule Central Washington now have a home game next week against D2 #4 Angelo State.

CP had Central Washington on the schedule for next week and they pulled out late and left CP scrambling to complete their schedule. I believe it was Lincoln or nobody.

They are all 3 Star and ALL great additions to both teams.

Here is how 247 rated each:

    Chris Snyder Jr. (87)
    Edward Schultz (86)
    Delano Franklin (85)
    Robbie Mascheroni (85)
    David Rasor (84)
    Izaiah Souriolle (83)

Rankings, especially at the FCS level are just an educated guess. We won’t know how good each of the above players are for a few years.

I was posting into response to where they were talking about Sakattebo on page 4.

  • Baldwin out at Cal Poly
I flew to Washington and watched a Paul Wulff led EWU team manhandled a Rich Ellerson led Cal Poly team in 2004 38-21. That was a year in which Cal Poly was 9-2 and had 3 future Buchanan winners starting on Defense and a 1,500+ yard rusher in James Noble.

That EWU team was led by Walter Payton winning QB Erik Meyer and future NFL All-Pro tackle Michael Roos. Wulff knows talent and can recruit. Cal Poly will be a much more physical team under Wulff than they were under Baldwin. I for one think it is a great hire.

The line is not what Vegas think a team is favored by, but where they think they can half of the bets for each team. NDSU has a rabid fan base and that effects the line. If I was a betting man I would take MSU and the 9.5 points.

MSU won that game without their stud running back Isaiah Ifanse who had 1,539 rushing yards this season. He sat out with a swollen knee. Because of this they leaned heavily on their young QB to make up for the loss of his production in the running game. With 3 weeks to prepare for the NC game I think there is a good chance Ifanse will be back. I bet the Bison are hoping he isn’t.
  • Round 1: UC Davis @ South Dakota State
Congrats on making the playoffs. It might not have gone the way you hoped, but there are about 100 FCS teams that wished they were in the playoffs, Cal Poly included.

Nice win for the Aggies. Congrats.

One can argue that a great punter can lead to more kickoffs because he consistently flips the field position.
