+1. Sac has to fund $23M plus for a no-name FBS league 2,000 miles away, and fund Cal Expo field, grandstand remodel, temporary structures and possibly temporary stands - any pro's here w an idea of that cost?

Late hire coach, late recruiting, and if there are 5 east coast trips, it won't be pretty.

Right now they're looking at 6 months to make Cal Expo playable.

Your average person doesn't say, "Oh, it's FBS, Akron is coming to town, let's go to the game."

Is there a personal connection, is the team winning, fun team, relateable players, enjoyable experience, reasonable cost, food options, related events (kids, after game downtown stroll), atmopshere, safe, etc.

This is also affected bc we apparently don't market well on campus, or off campus, which isn't solved by adding more administrative bodies.

And he still plans to play at Cal Expo. Why? Is his brother involved? Dr. Wood likes the potential to expand the facility to 40,000+.

My searches reveal current grandstand seating at 5,000 to 15,000 to 20,000. Not clear. (Lots of race fans stand, watch a few races, leave.)

Sac will need to bring in modular locker rooms for 2026, along w a field. Not sure what they gain / lose as far as gate, concessions, parking, etc,
