I'm fine w his firing, though I don't agree on all points. Full scale audit - the Big Purge. Coaches, staff, players. Audit ten years of emails.

We apparently have email going back ten years. Hire an outside law firm / investigators, and search for any and all racist, homophobic, or misogynistic language from administrators, coaches, players, and take action. Right? Whether it's Tom Brady or Cam Newton. This should include anti Asian, Latino, and European racist language.

I believe having an opinion on non-players as coaches / refs (women), and kneeling at games, falls more into strategy and political beliefs.

If this is "who they are", do we want racist players - becoming racist coaches and staff? Along your thinking, better to just purge them for life before they gain "power" as staff, recruiting director, agent, etc.

Yes. (Not the shortened spring season.)

Should players be fired for life for bigoted and sexist remarks?

New York Post: Derek Carr thinks NFL should expose everyone’s private emails, not just Jon Gruden’s

"If we just started opening up everybody’s private emails and texts, people would start sweating a little bit. … Hopefully not too many,” Carr said on Wednesday. “But maybe that’s what they should do for all coaches and GMs and owners from now on, is open up. You’ve got to open up everything. See what happens.”

Should we do the same thing for college coaches and administrators?
  • Week 7: Northern Colorado @ UC Davis
Quickie math says we have 5 sacks this year (.83 PG).

Last year 14 sacks in 12 games, giving 1.17 PG.

Small numbers, but roughly a 35% difference.

Overall yardage allowed dropped from 444.37 game, to 427.8 per game.

Our increased number of turnovers likely the biggest impact, affecting everything else. About a 15% improvement in rush defense.
  • Week 7: Northern Colorado @ UC Davis
    Easy improvements:

    1. Don't come out FLAT.
    2. Don't run UG up the gut 15 times in the first half. (Gould nightmares)
    3. More quick hitters to get HR in rhythm?
    4. Avoid TOs.
    5. Don't have an inexperienced backup QB whio rarely throws, throw on 4th & 17. (He's Magic bc of his legs.)

I thought Nick Eaton was our Sack man. Not sure why his numbers dropped off, new assignment?
  • Week 7: Northern Colorado @ UC Davis
Northern Colorado had up to a third of its roster out in September w Covid. Like the Aggies, NC has a Father-Son HC / OC. Max Mccaffrey has very limited experience, and was promoted from WR coach to OC. But they've already logged 2 wins, their recent high mark.

"Graduate quarterback Dylan McCaffrey missed the second half against Houston Baptist and the game versus Lamar."

The ESPN+ broadcast kept having annoying (short) audio glitches, also ocassional glitches, missing a whole play, possibly bc I was casting it from my phone to a local TV.
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ Idaho State
The 235# wide receiver / track star.

Looking back, the decision to go for it on 4th and 17 was an unwise gamble.

Ugly story, and is the mistreatment of cheerleaders continuing? It seems they're paid pennies, from what I read years ago. Now forced vacations & this?

"There are a lot of terrible things about this Gruden story but I can't get over Bruce Allen forcing Washington's cheerleaders to do a topless photoshoot and then using his team email account to send the pictures to Gruden"

Interesting times when certain American military Generals support China behind our President's back, hand $85 Billion in Military armament to modern day Nazis, but a Patton would be run out of town.

FTR, tried not to put it on him, and noted curious play calling. Didn't Maier live off the 5-15 yard pass / catch and run? Same for UG, how about a quick out to him? I did like the direct snap to him in the Wildcat.

Yes. Not a Chuckie fan or hater. Are all email, texts, and social media posts game for all coaches and players now?
  • Week 7: Northern Colorado @ UC Davis
Hunter Rodriguez numbers have dropped since game 2.

    ------------------ ATT--- COMP--- TD --- INT --- Ave Yrds/ %
    Games 1-2 .. 72 .......50 ....... 5 ...... 0 ........316 / 69%
    Games 3-6 .. 67 .......32 ....... 1 .......3 ........124 / 48%

    Quarterback Ratings / Comp %

    R Wright 2013 134.6 / 64%
    HR - 5 Games 129.6 / 59%
    T Tompkins ... 117 / 45%
    Miles Hastings 97.1 / 54%
    HR - 3 Games... 90.2 / 48%

Not sure why we don't have the short / midrange game going. Having HR and TT make repetitive 20 yard throws into double, triple coverage not ideal. (Numbers for MH & TT less accurate with limited action. TT had several passes dropped Saturday.)

Getting HR untracked is key. Personally not fond of UG up the gut 15 times in the first half, many on first down.
