• Men's Big West Conference Tournament March 8-10
Can Les give us 5 or 6 minutes of floor time?
  • MBB 7:30 pm Saturday ESPN3: Aggies @ Irvine for the Big West Championship
What was her name??? Did you go to one of the old school beaches from a James Bond movie?

Where does TJ rank compared to BW 1s?

    THIRD double OT win??? Awesome!

We still need to win the BWT to get to the dance, right?
  • Chima Moneke Suspended Indefinitely
Agreed. And we need the size, depth, and athleticism for big games. BW tourney will be different, so would any post season run.

    Our first big DI controversy?
  • MBB 7 pm Thursday: Hawai'i (16-11 & 7-7) at the Aggies (19-9 & 10-4) Senior Night'i
Is Chima shown in the stands or on the bench? Is he smiling?
  • Name your favorite Sac eatery / place
Crickets Country Kitchen at 4745 Auburn is a Classic! Breakfast or lunch. Great service, portions, kids will love the kitchy decor and train just below the ceiling. Quirky Americana. Biscuits and gravy untested.
  • Name your favorite Sac eatery / place
Extreme views on Yelp with an average of 3 stars. Some think regulars get better service. Steak sandwich a consistent favorite. Deep fried raviolis, minestrone soup, quite a number give it 1 star.

I've seen a lot of restaurants with similiar circumstances. I wonder if many kitchens being staffed by new immigrants, in this case, not Italians, affects their quality of food? Tough to match if the owners had been cooking those dishes for decades.

Football ocassionally had the Causeway Classic luncheon at some place in West Sac, no?

Alleged robbery... like someone lost their Justin Beiber or Chance the Rapper CD. ... go Aggies!

I speculate the police were called as Chima belted out a rendition of Bossy Cow Cow.
  • Toler back to Cal
Interesting. We referred to his Denver time as a "coaching assistant", Fresno says he was a "staff assistant". Big jump to become a DC.
  • Lady Bird - Sacto & UC Davis
There was also a theme about her good natured, unemployed father who got an MBA at Davis if I recall. Sac from 30 years ago to today seems to have changed a lot, good and bad. Midtown seems hopping. Food scene better.

I was surprised to see suburbs north of Sac with sketchy problems, homeless, shady people. Same thing in the Cal Expo area which seems nice, yet beggars on the boulevard. Perfectly suburban areas north of Sac, but I would read about crime on the light rail and friends warned against me taking it downtown. Their area seems like it used to be families, active, kids have grown and area aged? I wonder if Section 8 housing plays a role, some sketchy places near the local shopping area.

My guess is that private industry hasn't brought enough high paying jobs. I hear Elk Grove, which boomed, brought SoCal problems north? My guess also is a segment on the left don't like the police or religion, so these are big changes. Traditional nuclear families less.

I wandered into an area with expansive custom established homes, massive front lawns. ARC area? Really spectacular. Folsom seems great, people friendly, though some there said it was changing, complained that insular ethnic groups were coming in, not joining the wider community.

He also coached in Austria, and a year with the NFL Denver Broncos.

It seems like Biggs last few years we were slim at QB and Gould gambled with Lacy, then Laughrea. A 3rd and 4th string QB are gone, and we now have 1 stud and several young men with potential. Gould had lost the team before the last year. Hawk seems more like a CEO on gameday which is great if it works.

San Jose looks like they were aweful last year, 2-9, 1 legit win, prime for an upset? Would be Uuge.
  • Lady Bird - Sacto & UC Davis
Complex question, not just Davis. We've had a focus on girls for 2-3 decades, some argue we have marginalized boys, others say emasculated. Look at the downfall of smaller college football. More young men in prison, we import millions of people. Young men down in all kinds of areas, undergrad, grad, etc., most more than 50% women, and still special programs to recruit women, not men.

I will never understand we were battling SLO, at SLO, late in the game, defense hadn't stopped them all day, 4th and a few, and he chooses to punt.
  • Toler back to Cal
Loading up with way more freshman O recruits is interesting when our D and maybe ST in need. Tucker had good results with some Juco D transfers last year. Outscore them, strong scout team, or both?

Understood, that's life. The coaches used to coach 2 teams... Bronzan, Moroski were around awhile... Speckman seems happy, a great place to cap a career and add a little pension for retirement. Success will help. Coaches can also supplement their off season with a little PT work. Dixon, Woodland probably
    1 /2 the price.
