oldschool, you have to be happy with the quantum leap in experience level of our top coaches...

Lots to be excited about, it seems very strategic. Tucker had huge success and should have the Jucos wired in SoCial. Plough gained more experience and confidence, and he will get to collaborate with Speckman. Foster and Young add their grit. Huge. ... I saw Wulff favorite a tweet of Hawks so thought he may be in the running, but Plough put up some big numbers... I'm assuming that is not just sheer talent. HUGE!?

P.S. Dr. Blue some would consider being in California a 'structural advantage' for our program.

    Go Ags!

Is that why they have their knickers pulled tight?

It looked like I couldn't even comment on their "blog"... ironic? ... I thought about emailing the obsessive writer, asking why he can't chill out... any thoughts?

The cumulative years of experience we will have ... cumulative years as HCs... cumulative years as OCs or DCs ... it doesn't even compare to where we were 4 years ago... let's just say that was a youth movement. Increased salaries probably helped.

Marijuana is legal and heavily used in Colorado, right? ... that, and maybe a lack of sunlight? Cabin Fever?

    6'5", 260#s ...great news ...

Never understood why we don't focus more on the East Bay, South Bay, Central Valley ... Hawkins said he wanted to focus more here. I think it's great news.

We recently brought in some great recruits from Arizona, but 2-3 studs quickly left. Those departures really hurt. My wild guess is that it would be easy to oversell them, and / or the transition from Arizona might be tough for them to anticipate. ... Kids from Northern Cal have a better understanding of who we are, a rainy winter, etc. Family, friends, girlfriends can see them play and visit more often.

Have they ever heard the phrase "Get a Life"? They seem obsessed by him... let him go, they had a good season, move on.

Here is a short video of Coach Plough at NAU, he mentions one of his mentors at UCD was Coach Stangs / Skangs ??? who went onto the NFL...??? Good clip, funny one liners.

Sweet. Second Juco transfer in the trenches, and I think they both may be able to make spring ball!

I agree, I wish our former coaches nothing but the best.

I agree failure has many fathers, but it sounds like that game gave certain fans an easy to explain hook to hang their emotions and anger on. The old axiom is to run the ball, and burn the clock, when you're up that big... so with little information, continuing to throw (if that is what they did) does seem odd, esp. as the lead was reduced.

I'm sure Coach Hawk has learned from that, and it sure looks like he has brought in a stellar cast of assistants. I an very impressed with what I have read about Tucker and Speckman.

Very impressive. I thought I read where Sochor had praise for him?

Odd. I thought they even reached 4 wins his last year, a high point. I think when they blew a 28 point lead to Kansas, the biggest implosion in program history, it was a huge turning point. He continued to have his son throw the ball, some believing in order to break some school records.

The few articles I've read go back to his son as QB. This article has some interesting, player, off the record comments. Players here also complaint about not having their names on the jerseys, and not getting a voice.

Cody Hawkins was also kind of flippant with the press after one loss, the only article were I read numerous comments from him.

I know very little about him, had one decent year as QB... is he a solid or innovative offensive mind?
