So who should we root for in the women's game between Long Beach and UC Irvine? We are 1-1 against both teams. I'm currently rooting for Long Beach State unless someone has a good argument. UCI is up 27-25 with 4:54 left in the second period.

If we do win, then I hope we don't play Stanford, but I expect we will. We always play Stanford.

Hawaii is in a run. UC Davis 39-36 after three quarters.

UC Davis up 36-24 with 3:09 left in the third quarter. UCD is on a run that Hawaii had to call a time out. Also, a Hawaii player got injured.

I was at the game, so you may not have seen the part where Baker suddenly went up and hopping around and somewhat declaring she was fine. She wanted to stay in the game but the coach took her out.

There were seven time outs called in the last 71 seconds. I was wondering why no one was calling time outs earlier.

I agree. I went one year, and I had no idea if a play was good or bad.

I thought the big men kept on replacing Pepper only defensively because Pepper had four fouls. Pepper immediately came back in during the offensive plays.

It looked like Les didn't really play any big men against UCSD so that UCD can guard the 3 point line, and Les used big men against Long Beach since they're good at scoring in the paint.

However, I admit I have a low basketball IQ.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but is Long Beach State the only team we haven't beaten this year in the Big West Conference?

So how would you coach the next game since the next game is meaningless for seeding purposes?

Well... That's 38 consecutive regular Big West season games. I think they won one playoff game.

It looks like there's a decent chance Long Beach will play against UC Davis in the semi finals regardless on who gets the #2 seed.
