Thank you!!! Had like 7 friends today. One of our friends boyfriends who was a former d1 athlete at oregon was really impressed by the Davis environment. Said the sunken bowl reminded him of a smaller version of their stadium.

What an amazing day! Got to the game early and got front row seats and the give-away hats (which were honestly really high quality) bowl filled up by kickoff and the fans, especially students, were ROCKING. Really proud of everyone for showing up and being loud, it definitely helped. Stressful till the last minute but rushing the field was an amazing release! Loved seeing everyone flow onto the field!!

literally 95% of the people in the north davis peets this morning were wearing aggie merch

Yeah I thought the same thing, this confused me. The only thing I could think was drive revenue from football asap, or that they plan to try and join the MW as soon as possible for football and want to be prepared?

Someone or some group (maybe Aggie rally committee) has put up these flyers in a ton of bathrooms all over campus saying go to the game haha

Folks! Campus is abuzz with ads for the football game. Silo, Memorial Union and Dining Commons all full of rotating ads on the screens.

I believe they are renovating the concourse as a whole too, but its a bit more vague.

Modified rec hall doesn't seem to mess with access. The arc and the Peets next to it are still there with the same configuration i believe. Only change may be moving the bike path a bit next to it?

Addition of new club bar/space on the side that doesnt have the press box. Also new concession stuff/bathroom

I am trolling a bit on their board because these are "promised donations" and ours are "pledges" but their efforts are somehow perceived as more concrete? GFTOH.

I am not totally sure why you are focused about "promised donations" (where does it say that?) but either way, you cannot be serious acting like the history of Sac State's promises/plans and Davis' project history are even comparable. I want Sac to get new facilities and everything, but I think the plans across the board sports wise for a Davis athletics department that has a solidified conference they are joining, a history of having solid donors, and a phased project style is much more clear and tangible than what Wood and folks have put out.

Davis is focused on a medium-term facility upgrade plan to get in line with the MW conference. Sac is throwing out a few splashy renderings, talking crap on twitter and making wild claims about things that were never going to happen and putting bleachers in the campus rec facility. It is not the same. I don't think Sac should be focused on "dunking" on Davis.

Sac has focused way to much on trying to look flashy without explaining steps for those flashy things to be a reality. Maybe its just my opinion but the whole way the Sac admin has talked about athletic stuff has been obnoxious and ego-driven compared to Davis just focusing on improving without over the top noise.
