  • Aggie Ascent - Facilities Master Plan Release
Curious when we will get our first update.
  • Is it worth joining cal Aggie alumni?
This was all super helpful for me! I think it seems like a nifty thing to join :) yall point out some great points about discounts too.

I am starting a grad program in January to get a masters of education and teaching credential. Hopefully teach high school English in a few years here!
  • SAC ST Coach OUT
I think Alonzo Carter is a good hire for sac state. I can imagine the coaching search was probably intimating with all the uncertainty right now at sac. What I do seem to get is that he has great recruiting connections in California, has proved himself worthy of his position (heck Brennon brought him from SJSU to Arizona), and he seems like a really solid, high energy dude. I know all the drama about Taylor at Stanford is controversial in and of itself, but getting a guy that is in a currently ascending program seems like a piece of solid ground in the constantly changing sac state saga. I don’t know how this will work out, but he seems like a guy who has done some damn good coaching at every opportunity he has had whether at hs, juco, group of 5 or lower 4 conference. (And holy crap the dude has some crazy stories, he was a backup dancer for MC Hammer when he was younger?!)

They are expanding the outdoor seating to build a new patio by the side of the coho facing wellman hall. They still do concerts occasionally by that side too. They are also expanding actual cooking and break area in the back so the workers on break don’t take up tables.
  • New Aggie Merchandise Site
that merch spot has been closed for so damn long near the gates
  • Aggie Ascent - Facilities Master Plan Release
actually the coho is currently getting bigger and has introduced a ton of new things food wise. They also still do concerts as of this year I believe. Currently expanding the outdoor seating and dining prep areas
  • The offseason - Looking forward to 2026
yes yes and yes. That new offensive line class plough talked about is going to be huge, but getting some new portal talent with experience is going to be big as well. The Connor’s brothers thing makes my blood boil, I trust this to get figured out. Huge opportunity next year for this program to get over the hump. Gonna be an exciting overall year for athletics from the MW move to facility expansions and a football team that should reload even better and less injured to start (now let’s hope it stays that way).

I would like both of these things to happen! A Mountain West move is my dream (and honestly agree with engagement stuff alumni/fan wise) but while we’re in the FCS, we are so close to that dang natty, like so close. The PR team and crowds were AWESOME this year. Really moving into the upper echelon of FCS programs and putting the athletic department up there with the MW members.
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: Illinois State (10-4) @ #8 UC Davis (9-3)
I think a majorly confusing thing this game was our lack of qb runs? Am I crazy or was that just missing compared to last game?
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: Illinois State (10-4) @ #8 UC Davis (9-3)
Well this sucks, on the bright side though, my entire family being in town and watching this rough game still had them leaving with “that Pinnick kid needs to come back next year”. We are blessed to have had plough for 2 seasons and he has literally taken us to the quarterfinals both times. This team is on the edge of a national championship run. I’ll have to meet yall in the alumni section next year!

Holy heck !! Graduated and got gifted a potential home game…. Now win!!
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: Illinois State (10-4) @ #8 UC Davis (9-3)
    Plan for today:
    1. Walk at graduation
    2. WATCH THE AGGIES MOVE TO THE SEMI-FINALS
(Forcing the entire extended family to watch)
    3. Grub out!

    Go AGS!!
  • 2025 FCS Playoffs
lots of penalties and they are still up by a lot. Don’t think they are unbeatable though, definitely favorites right now.

Tickets are about the same/better this week than last week.
  • Aggie Ascent - Facilities Master Plan Release
Yes exactly. This is the problem I speak of.

Yeah i think we need boxes to be equal to other programs at the level we want to be at. I also think we would get people paying to be in them. The banquet room is a good idea for campus stuff as well and the premium seating will get sold. I think they obviously will still work out final plans (maybe just a whole new structure would not be the worst idea) but i think building limited suites, improving concessions and potentially filling out the grass berm near the tent is a good idea for future.

This is awesome! I listen to knbr a lot and I feel like Tim Plough just KILLS it whenever you get him in front of a microphone.
