yah, BC is not good. HC did as good or better against the Jacks than Montana State. SDSU was just better than everyone else - especially by the end of the season.

Holy Cross played SDSU tough on the playoffs last year. They have a hard-nosed QB who can run. They are down only 21-24 against Boston College of the ACC early in the 3rd.

Furman tends to be overranked for the same reason Montana does - past glory years. They were pretty good last year.

Anybody know about the status of Rex Conners? His twin brother saw action last week but not Rex. Could really use him to shore up the defense against OSU.

My dad took my brother and I to the Stanford-USC game in Palo Alto in 1968 after we had just competed in the local punt-pass-and kick competition (is that even around anymore?). I was a USC and OJ Simpson fan (not so much anymore for obvious reasons) and have an autograph from him obtained at a Cal track meet. Plunkett to Gene Washington was the hookup back then, and Stanford lost by 2 or 3 points as I recall and missed 3 field goals.
